i'd say ronnie james dio by himself. ozzy is the voice of sabbath. sabbath were never as successful after they axed ozzy. ronnie james has a very powerful voice for such a pint sized man, he is phoenominal wherever he lends his voice. but, i still say that sabbath to me, is with ozzy.

will disagree, sabbath started the dark scary side of heavy metal. zeppilin is more of a kick ass hard rock band.

although metallica are a great band, the did not start heavy metal. black sabbath did. along with zeppelin. 2 very different sides of the metal spectrum but those 2 bands beagan the metal revolution. metallica were influenced by the new wave of british heavy metal which included sabbath, angel witch, blitzkrieg, and the tygers of pan tang. along with motorhead and iron maiden. all those listed are bands that were around long before metallica.

I think that is very close to perfect. Priest is my favorite and I love OZZY/Sabbath so I am not complaining. Americans never really figured out what the Brits did regarding making metal music. Metallica is freaking awesome but they have changed so much for the radio whereas Priest and Ozzy/Sabbath have not.

What about Judas Priest, they've began the metal revolution too, like Sabbath. But the style of music, the clothings, the voice, the guitars duels are from Judas Priest, and then the other bands like Metallica take that things and did it at their style. But Judas Priest and Black Sabbath in the 70's began the heavy music, and in late 70's (if we choose Killing machine as revolution of heavy metal clothes and music) or most concret, in 1980 with British Steel the heavy metal times came with Judas Priest

Led Zeppelin is a studio band. They can not reproduce the same on stage. The phrase(Heavy Metal)was first used to describe the sound of Black Sabbath

priest were a few years behind sabbath. they were the first band to be metal all of the time. and the look, yes they did invent the leather look that most people associate with metal. sabbath were the first band to be called heavy metal. even they didn't know what it meant at the time, they thought that they were just a blues rock band. yeah a heavy metal blues rock band with a very sinister sound.

in the mid 80's priest did experiment a little but with a couple radio friendly songs and videos but they came back strong in 90 with Painkiller, a true metal classic, arguably their best album..

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Capricorn

The detail-oriented Moon in Virgo is extremely supportive and helpful, so it feels good to know that you can count on some support. You may know just where the help is coming from, but with communicative Mercury all over transformative Pluto in your sign, maybe you're being looked after by your very own guardian angel. Don't let this encourage you to take foolish risks or overstep the mark.
