Did anyone see this? Did the lifeguard panic? The Emt brothers were heros.

No the lifeguards didn't panic. They did their job well as a matter of fact. That weekend was crazy enough and they were constantly having to blow their whistle at the people.( Majority were Hispanic, and acted as if they didn't understand English ) There was about 100-150 people swimming in the area and if there was a sign of struggle someone other than his daughter/son would have seen him drowning. So there has to be an explanation to why he did. You can't blame the lifeguards because the two emt's found him under the dock area, where the lifeguards told swimmers not to swim. There was no way they could have seen him. Besides everyone that is a normal resident in the Whiting area , are angered by the way people outside of the Whiting/Manchester area are acting, especially the Hispanics. There are rules to follow , which they did not. So a lawsuit against them because her husband and friends weren't listening to the guards is absurd. Ofcourse this was a horrible incident but , the lifeguards are not to blame. There are a handful who are still traumatized to the fact that they had to go through that situation. No one would have died if rules were followed.
