i also don't know why if you do not really know someone you would want to say bad of them. johnnys voice and his songs were wonderful and so nice to listen to. i hope he don't let age stop his singing and that he gets a new song which will put him on the top of charts. i am a singing and age 64 and on the 4th of oct will perform at the ryman with the finals of silverstars,billy block and health springs put this on. it sad that we judge people who are older and i go to many clubs and hear the older folks sing as well as the younger and even as good as when young. get off your high and remember some of us don't know any of the new singers of today. i know i don't. i don't think you can ever replace elvis,roy orberson,june jhonny cash, but who would want to replace them?honer those who gave us there talent in voice, acting, what ever there talent was i say thanks for the memorys and God bless.

I found this site by error,but am sad by any negative I read. As I type I am listening to Johnny R, as I have for 30 years or so now. Whether home sewing, or on the road to a horse show. He and I are the same age but that's beside the fact that he still makes me swoon, think of old lovers, and close my eyes in ecstacy when his CD hits the shuffle in my player. Johnny? if you by chance read any of this, know that there are those of out here who adore you. Becky, I salute you! I was very disheartened to read such indifferent comments about such a great performer. I have followed Johnny's career since the 70's and saw him last, last fall. He appeared very frail but played for two hours and gave his all-as always. I have not heard anything since his hospitalization in February but pray he is doing well. I have always been a believer of; If you do not have anything intellegent to say, remain quiet.

No kidding marty....I did not see anyone slam jonny, no body knew who he was. The only rude people I see are those who "can't believe what their reading"....so what, are we all REQUIRED to know who he is? I played country music on the radio back in the 80's and I don't even recognize the name.
