And you are simply mean. Maybe you do not like Willie Nelson's music and that's your right, but many of us love his music. I grew up with his music and it always brings back memories. I do not always agree with his politics but I always agree with his music and his music agrees with me.

That would be your misfortune. Willie is like all the finer things in life "an acquired taste" obviously you missed out!

Mr. Pullen, I would regard your journalistic skill level as "choppy and disjointed". You obviously are not familiar with Willie enough to be able to grasp his sound or style. Maybe you should have done your homework instead of playing video games, or better yet write reviews on areas where you are knowlegeable.
And please, please, please proof read prior to releasing your personal views.
Willie "always" puts on an enjoyable and entertaining concert, although it is not designed for everyone!

Songwriter Townes Van Zandt was a real genius and Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and others owe their fame to recording his songs, such as Lefty and Pancho, an enigmatic story of betrayal and unpunished guilt.

I tried to post a slightly longer story of Van Zandt, but it was not published (buried in Topix, maybe). He is worth researching. My post must have contained a word or phrase that DHS uses to put you on some of their $h!t lists and frightens Topix into editing you out.

I really enjoyed the concert. The way it has always been with Willie Nelson-what you see is what you get. Love him

I opted to stay home and watch the game. My bad decision, I have many bad football games to watch in the future. This might have been the last chance to see Willie. I went to the Poteet Strawberry Festival to see Ray Price for probally the last chance. I have been to many of Willies 4TH of July Picnics. For us Old timers who grew up with Willie, Waylon, Johnny Cash and Ray Price, Our favorites are going the way of Hank and Leftie and many of the generation before us. There are some pretty good new artist in the Texas music scene. Nashville is not country anymore, pure pop singers and soft rockers. but Thats OK the next generation needs their favorites. Mr Pullen You are exactly right Country Music Superstar don't even come close. He's far better than that.

Pullen is the perfect proof of the El Paso mentality of ankle biters. Go away.

I am 55 years young and I have a beard that is of legal age to drink, which I started growing at the 1975 Willie Nelson Picnic in Gonzales, Texas. What a great three full days of music. But I digress..........

Simply put, Willie Nelson is, as being a true Texan, not who he is or what he is, he is a state of mind, reflecting a way of life. If you don't understand it, it can't be explained, i.e., as reflected by Mr. Pullen.

Maybe the braids did come down to his waste. Anyone know if Willie's had a colostomy? Or been catheterized? ;-)
