Elvis changing the face of country & bluegrass music

Who would have thought that over 40 years ago, a boy from Tupelo, Mississippi, would make an impact on not only the world of rock and roll, but also in country music? Growing up, he would listen to the sounds of the Grand Ole Opry coming over the radio on a Saturday night and the next morning, hear the soulful sounds of the church choir.

Maurice: Than I would say that he definitely won't go there. Why don't the elvis fans that want to argue with him just go to an MJ forum. Maybe they can give those people some info on elvis that they don't know

Linda, Some fans are just arguementative for the sake of it, mistaking cleverness for intelligence.

The ability to analyse stories is often beyond some here and they just don't take the trouble to improve their own minds.

Writers and thinkers like, Schopenhauer, Neitchze, and GB Shaw were noted for their arrogance and I guess a little has rubbed off on me from reading their works back in the 60s.

That's why I treat it all here with a twinkle in my deep brown Irish eyes. ;-)

I don't consider a person arrogant or a know it all if they are trying to be informative, but I guess a person with a closed mind would think that way.

Elvisology isn't exactly rocket science, we Elvis fans are ALL part of the unfolding and rich tapestry that illustrates a lovely story with new and interesting threads being added almost on a daily basis.

Most of us have tried debating with him, then when he feels he is losing the debate he turns to insulting Elvis and his fans.

It wasn't long ago he almost filled this webpage with MJ threads, on an Elvis Forum.

I beg you Linda please don't encourage Scotty. He is as guilty as any MJ poster of taking threads were they don't belong. Do not encourage him.
