For not being there you certainly claim to know a lot about the incident.Perhaps you might consider your
reaction if the driver had been white.

Ya, nice to see somebody obey the law for a change and actually pull over and take responsibility for something. Bottom line is if you are going to walk in traffic you must be very very careful. The odds are she wasn't in a crosswalk, and whenever you cross the street it is very dangerous. Obviously, neither one saw the other or it would have been avoided. My best wishes for both families.

Had it been Paris Hilton or L. Lohan you'd probably be saying the sweet girls were being
scandlized and victimized by the Press. Here a
woman JAY WALKING causes her own demise and you
want to crucify the driver who acted properly and
lawfuly. Until they do a toxicolgy on the woman
CHILL back and clam up.

My sympathies to both Mr. Singleton and his family, and to the jaywalker's family. Mr. S. did all he could, and was legal in every respect. Most people seem to feel the way I do, and then there are the others. May God forgive them their trespasses.

HOW IS IT CARS? ARE NOT IN THE SAME VENUE AS FIRE ARMS.
THE PERSON[s] THAT GET HIT BY A CAR and THEN DIES: IS JUST AS DEAD?.
My sincere {prayers} to the deceased and for the trauma for Mr.Singleton, he must be just as Horrified at the [incident] which took some one's life away from them!

i sm sorry for loss of life to the pedestrian.

who knows if she was jaywalking at the time.

distractions do occur while driving, but so do REAL ACCIDENTS.

some people should not be so quick to blame.

we were not there and things like this can happen.

the only good thing about this is to hear that someone in hollywood DID THE RIGHT THING AND STOPPED.

i'm sure he feels bad about taking another person's life.

hope that it doesn't happen to me.

i don't pity the stories about the "party girls".

i will NEVER feel sorry for them.

Just how do you know all of this? If you were a witness to this accident, then you are being derelict in your duty in not reporting to the police what you witnessed. But then you are in nowheresville, ny so what can you possibly know about what happened? Believe me, in la la land there people are mindless morons who act as if they are alone in their little universes and feel that the rest of the world should pay attention to their every little move. This lady did what so many people do in LA, and just darted out into the street. Mr. Singleton said as much. Besides, it was evident that Mr. Singleton was not high on anything, and had nothing to hide and did the right thing. Further investigation needs to be done of course, but this tragedy could have been avoided if the woman had crossed at an intersection or a controlled crosswalk. I just hope that this is a lesson to us all, jaywalking does not pay!

It doesn't seem to me that he did anything wrong. I feel terrible foor Ms. Russell's family and such, but she was jaywalking, and there's a reason jaywalking is illegal.
