Barack Obama sees worst poll rating drop in 50 years

The decline in Barack Obama's popularity since July has been the steepest of any president at the same stage of his first term for more than 50 years. Gallup recorded an average daily approval rating of 53 per cent for Mr Obama for the third quarter of the year, a sharp drop from the 62 per cent he recorded from April. His current approval rating – hovering just above the level that would make re-election an uphill struggle – is close to the bottom for newly-elected president. Mr Obama entered the White House with a soaring 78 per cent approval rating.

Did you catch the story yesterday how Obama tried to freeze Fox out of the WH press pool?

They invited the entire press pool, but excluded Fox, for a set of round robin interviews with the Pay Czar.

Well, the entire PRESS POOL told the WH to SHOVE IT. IF FOX WASN'T PART OF THE PRESS POOL, NONE OF US WILL COVER THIS GUY.

The WH relented, but they originally were going to make him available for 5 minutes, and then after the WH relented, only made him available for 2 minutes each.

I actually thought the gentleman was very articulate and pointed. 2 minutes is all he needed to make his point.

And this is the FIRST thing this WH has done that I agree with. A pay czar controlling the compensation plans of firms that TOOK MY MONEY....

The idiot democrats wouldn't ever DREAM of giving us a TAX CUT to spur growth...but at least, they're coupling the compensation schemes to the STOCK PRICES of firms who took MY MONEY....

If you took my money, YOU BETTER NOT PAY OBSCENE COMPENSATION PACKAGES...

Sad part is, the WH is a day late and a dollar short. They WAITED until CERTAIN FIRMS had PAID their obscene package to people before launching this.

So, they favored ONE company over another. In that, the WH was a boondoggle. This stuff should have been WRITTEN INTO THE REQUIREMENTS IN THE FIRST PLACE....LONG BEFORE THEY GAVE ANYONE A SINGLE NICKEL OF MY TAX MONEY....

This WH is always late on figuing things out. That's their problem.

They've never lead anything. They have no clue about leadership, or how to THINK THINGS THROUGH before doing something. They just blather, shoot from the hip, and then figure out they've screwed something up. Giving our money away, closing Gitmo, HC reform, Olypics, example after example of this WH not thinking things through.

Obama is just too eager to go out there and blather. He is CONSTANTLY sticking his foot in his mouth...and these are all self inflicted wounds.

And on Aftgan....NOW they dither while military people are DYING waiting for them to make a decision.

They're really quite pathetic...but, the nation got what it voted for.

A childish, immature, inexperience guy, who has never lead a thing in his life, and doesn't like being held accountable, which is what LEADERS are USED to.

But not Obama....the nation is realizing what they elected, and they're not comfortable with it.

If the polling was totally balanced (equal number of Dems, Repub, and Independents), the reults would be far worst. Eyes are being opened and they are not liking what they are seeing.
This is what I see: Pickup basketball games, world traveling with family, numerous parties at the White House, unacceptance of responsiblity in Afganistan, even higher unemployment, and playing the blame game over thing that goes wrong.

Well, a even liberal Obama supporter columnist Herbert wrote a piece that said "Does Obama Get It?"

He spoke about how 15.4 million americans are hurting, on the edge of destitution. He then quoted FDR as saying unemployment should be treated with the urgency of war.

He said, in other words, HC reform isn't the crisis Obama, unemployment is.

And then went on to decribe how the administration and Obama are clueless. And Obama doesn't seem to have a plan to deal with it, nothing on the horizon, nothing in the works.

He's right. Obama doesn't get it.

Obama is out there, having music parties at nite for his kids, while a good chunk of the nation is JUST TRYING TO FEED THEIR KIDS...

He's doing back to back fundraisers, while our jobs market burns to the ground, and our military people are DYING WAITING FOR HIM TO MAKE A DECISION....

He's clueless. We have a "Marie Antoinette" in the White House.

"Let them eat cake" (which in actuality, is not what she said, she saw the excesses in the palace, and demanded the food be taken to the hungry, but the palace enemies portrayed her as indifferent.)

When he first set foot in the WH he wanted to dismantle the bowling ally in the basement which was there for years.
He wanted a full size basketball court constructed. More tax dollars spending. This was the first thing on his change list.
