This is the problem with the public schools, and under Obama, home schooling will no longer be an option.
I can't beleive that this is an example of what is teaching our students. Poor English, intimidating and holding a student's views up for ridicule, when the only thing ridiculous in that classroom was facing the camera.
Speaking of cameras, I think it is about time that all interaction in schools should be recorded and live-streamed to the internet. Just the teacher's rantings, not the children.
Politics and religion have NO place in the public school system.
I agree with a comment over at hot-air: This won't be over until I see a video of this miscreant saying, "Let me axe you this, do you want frys with that?"
Great post! Honestly, a teacher who can't even speak proper English! Pathetic.

I saw it. I don't have to listen to spin from the reporters who no doubt voted for Obama.

I asked my daughter what the teacher meant and she said "she doesn't like McCain does she" and "she tried to trick that girl into talking" and "why did she tell that girl her daddy wasn't going to come home for 100 years?"

Pity you have spineless reporters who are more worried about covering for a black racist than telling the truth.

I do respect that black boy who said he was supporting Obama just because he was black -- just because of the color of his skin. That boy is a black racialist and doesn't see the need to lie or dissemble.

Agreed ... she was clearly belittling the McCain supporters ... she is an insensitive Marxist goon wsho has no place being in a position to shape the minds of young students.

I wonder what would have happened if see had debased Obama and encouraged a vote for McCain?

I bet that would have caused a national firestorm in the national media, er ... propoganda ministry.

Had she rendered criticism against Obama, they would have had her tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail within hours of breaking the story.
And no apologies, however sincere or contrite would have sufficed.

And we pay billions for people like this to influence our children in destructive ways that have nothing to do with reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Whole story, so you think this is right what teacher did. if this had been a white teacher belittling a black student would you feel the same. i think not my hypocritical friend because of the double standard that exists in our country. the hell with the double standard. what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
I totally agree with what has been said here, my daughter attends high school in florida and has experienced problems with black students since this election has ended. If it had been a white teacher saying these things against Obama there would have been HELL to pay for them.

Move along, nothing to see here! Oh, lord, oh, Jesus, Obama. Are you going to believe the press or your lying eyes? She was just joking. Obama button? Did you see an Obama button? It was a joke, too. And, by the way, if you still think you saw something, Reverend Al is on the way to further clarify the point. Move along, nothing to see here!
If you watch the entire video, the teacher is indeed wearing an Obama button during her interview, and refers to her classroom as an "Obama Classroom".
She appeals to her "freedom of speech", but what about the rights of the students? They have the right NOT to be forced into a captive environment where they are required to hear this woman force her political beliefs on the.

docjohn52,
I agree with you 100% Great idea. I work in a large office and at any time my supervisor can look over my shoulder and critique my work.
If teachers knew that they were being watched then they might have to behave themselves.
When I was younger I had a teacher in high school who had my (frankly misbehaved) brother the year before and she belittled me because of his behavior and it embarassed the he** out of me when the other students laughed at me because of what he did.
I think it would be terrific for parents to be able to see how their children are being taught.
I also agree. She should be fired!!!

appreciate all the comments to my posts pro and con. this is america. we can agree or disagree as we do although some who disagree with me are way too angry and assume things about me not true. i do not have a sister-wife although i do know two first cousins who married. but they have split up now. i do drink beer but that is a redneck hillbilly thing. Jim Beam is better but so damn expensive. moonshine made by my friend, rebel horseman is a little better as far as i am concerned.

anyways the whole point is this teacher tried to influence students in classroom with her own political liberal left wing politics. thought teachers were supposed to teach reading, writing and arithmetic. but i guess the schools have changed over the years. now they teach bullshit like tolerance diversity respect for others beliefs if they agree with you, etc etc.

I have to agree on this one. Earlier post (SC educator) stated her use of Oh Jesus etc, that stumped me too. I BELIEVE the job of a teacher is to present all sides of the case in opinion matters, she was not equipped to do so with an Obama pin, her language and singling a military kid out and saying something outrageous like 'your daddy gonna stay 100 years'. What hogwash. If she's a math teacher, let her teach math (I know from listening to her that she is not a language arts teacher), she had NO BUSINESS in that particular subject, where she was definately NOT SUBJECTIVE.
