There is still anger with Julian. I don't blame him. Paul hogged the whole show anyway. Paul never did any tribute to John his whole life.

Julian is angry because the Beatle Catalogue secret is still hidden.

Two years ago he stated to Yoko and Paul it is time to tell the truth! Yet, two years went by and the truth remains hidden.

Julian maybe is bitter, mainly with his father. And with Yoko, of course. However, two of the original Beatles are alive and these two are entitled to partecipate to whatever Beatles' event. Julian is the son of Lennon, not a Beatle. Paul plays John's songs in almost every show he makes. And George's. He even wrote a tribute to him with the beautiful song "Here today". If Julian doesn't want to attend at a Beatles' event is his business. America was celebrating the Beatles' first visit in this country and the huge impact they had in American youth and life. Who are the honorees? The Beatles. How many are with us? Two. Those two were 2/4 responsible for the whole thing and so they deserved the awards. Simple logic, don't you think? Julian had the right to be there or not to be. Although I like him and his music, he hasn't matured in my opinion.

Oops. I meant that the idea of Yoko taking his father hasn't matured in his mind, sorry. It didn't come all of it. He has all the right to feel what he feels.

I respect your post! You make a good point but there is much more of a reason why Julian did not attend this event. There is alot of dirty ugly hidden away that if the public Knew their hair would stand up straight as if they got an electrocution. Hidden secrets that has hurt Julian terribly. Life is unfair and the story is unfair. I understand Paul sang songs that John wrote but he never really did a one hour show to tribute John in any way. If he did I never saw it published. I believe there was alot of jealousy with John and Paul. Paul was jealous years ago before John died that John was the favorite beatle and a genius. Now that John has been dead so many years the younger generation looks to Paul and John is the forgotten Beatle. I do believe Paul is very talented too but like anything else Paul is also bitter than John wanted to end the Beatles and I understand that. John was jealous of Paul too of the beautiful songs Paul wrote. The problem here is that old bitter feeling remain and Julian knows that a certain secret hasn't hatched yet. When it does the whole John and Paul argument and the breakup of the Beatles will be changed forever. Julian is mad that this secret that was suppose to come out has not yet. Paul knows that it will not benefit him but the anger back then in the recording sessions of the Beatles will be exposed and the total blame on Yoko will be off. The public will say Oh now I see why they broke up. Julian is waiting for this to come out and getting mad at Paul and Yoko for still hiding it. It is quite a shocker! I was in the music business so I know what it is but I do not want to say it until it happens.

In my opinion, Lennon was very insecure. Although he was a genius though he had ups and downs with his self confidence. To be jealous of Paul, why? Because Paul was developing and he felt threatened by his talent. Oh boy, it was silly but that's how he felt. Beyond all these, Paul's efforts were to keep the band together, being a Beatle was all he was asking for. The others saw it as if he was trying to dominate their super egos while Paul was feeling that after Brian all they needed was to set goals, make some good albums, do tours, etc. I agree that he might have been bossy however he loved his band mates. And the Beatles were four personalities, not one. I feel that underneath Paul, George and Ringo knew who was the super nova of the Beatles. As far as hidden secrets and all that, I would like not to make an opinion because first it's not my business and secondly I do not know. And if I knew, I would be very cautious to say something like that in public. So, I do feel that you would have to do the same, Jane. It's very personal, so please end this. Have a respect for the families. We are fans after all, not private detectives who have been authorised by someone to search into the lives of the Beatles. We love them and what they are doing in their personal lives is their right.

I know this is a touchy subject but lets face it people keep giving their insight who actually knew the beatles personally. I did not know them personally but I was in the music business and I saw and hear alot about them. Things that the public never heard. Why I bring this up is because I cannot stand sneaky people who put on a phoney show in front of Beatle fans and the world and tell them lies to cover up the truth. If Paul or Yoko or anyone does not want to start an opinion or fact they should not keep bringing up about Yoko broke up the Beatles. Then decades later Paul decides to be her savior when so many years went by and he could give a hoot. When the truth comes out you will be a little angry too for John. John had a family secret the way Philomena in that new movie had. It interfered with Johns personal life and carried over into the groups recording sessions. The problems is that Yoko and Paul never never carried out the wishes that John had after he was murdered. They can keep talking about John for years but the truth remains hidden and that is sad! Julian is now fed up with everything. The article above that Julian said the events was a karaoke makes Julian look like a spoiled brad. This is why I have to say something. The very person that wrote this knows also why Julian is upset and it has nothing to do with the singers than night other than Paul. Julian is mad at Paul and Ono for continuing to hide the truth. I feel Julian then should say it and get the record straight but he is to afraid. Yoko is a bully who has taken a house that was suppose to be give to Julia Baird, Lennon's half sister years ago and sold it to the salvation army. She made Julian beg for his inheritance and Julian had to buy everything back that was given to him by John. Julian has a right to be angry. They should not put Julian down. The Beatles were not Gods. They were human beings who made a lot of personal mistakes.

Also, if this is a private matter that you feel above you are kidding yourself. The Beatles are not a private matter they are famous and everything dirty has been written about them especially John. I saw a documentary on tv a few years ago that show John was bedding a transvestitie. The secret I mentioned above is due out. It is not to be hidden for ever.

Music professionals in the business told me Paul McCartney only thinks of himself, his fame and fortune. Whatever was going on with John back then Paul didn't care. He was angry with John and wanted John to get over this problem and start writing again but John's problem was killing him inside. That is what caused the breakup of John and Yoko.

I hope when the secret breaks you can take it. I don't know if you personally are a big Beatle fan but alot of fans are gonna cry buckets for John. They will have anger toward Paul and Yoko rightfully so. They covered up the truth and it was a big success for 33 years after Lennon was murdered. Let's look at the aftermath. Yes, money will be made off of John Lennon sad sorrow across the world. People will want to tribute John in a way like no other tributes before. Yet, we still see McCartney hamming it up and hiding the truth. Sooner or later it is gonna bite you in the as s.

No, Greg don't be sorry. You have a right to your opinion. All I am saying is I already heard about what is gonna happen. You weren't where I was so you couldn't have heard anything out of the ordinary on the Beatles.

I am just saying be prepared to handle what revelation is coming on John Lennon. It is sad and shocking. There is some good in it too but John is dead more than 33 years and his dying wish in his will was covered up. I will not say anymore after this. Hop you have a good day.

Julian has to do what he thinks is right and him standing in the crowd is very stupid. It would start a riot as people tried to get to him. I feel he made the right choice. Smart choice Jules. Shame on anyone who asks you to expose yourself to all kinds of people in a crowd who would attack you.

Well let's face it. John was not a good father to Julian anyway. He left all this money and worldly goods to Yoko. There is still pain in Jules music even though he has stated there isn't. When I hear him sing now, I don't even think of John. I think of what beautiful music Julian makes. Also his photography is wonderful and very beautiful. I have never seen Ringo go to any event. I think he wants to keep out of the limelight. Paul still draws a crowd, and if he enjoys what he does then he should stay at it. He did write and perform the song for John, "Here Today". John and Paul didn't end their relationship on the best of terms. I remember when they broke up and it was not a pretty breakup. Jules made the right decision and it was stupid for anyone to ask him to be in the crowd.

Hello, teresa58. Whatever was his decision, I think he still loves in his way his father and the Beatles. They did not have the traditional father/son relationship, however some kind of affection did exist. He will attend at another happening, be sure about it.
