'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs'

Full story: Newsday

In New York State, the minimum age to obtain a driver's license is 16, but "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" makes an argument for lowering that age to 5. That way, parents wouldn't have to chaperone their children to this treacly and barely amusing animated 3-D movie.

The first was OK. The second was "so what". This one looks like a 2 dollar dvd in 3 months. Arent there any writers at that studio?

Phew! I'm glad the writers found some clever plot twist to explain dinosaurs living during an ice age.... When I first heard about this movie I thought they were trying to pull the wooly mammoth wool over the eyes of kids and fool them into believing that mammoths and dinosaurs roamed the earth at the same time ... and that they spoke English.

I have to say this was one of the worst movies I have ever sat through. Even my 12 year old son said it ''royally sucked''. This movie is strictly for the under 5 crowd. Horribly written, not an amusing moment to be found. The theatre was uncharacteristically quiet for such a packed crowd. Do yourself a favour...if your kids are begging to see it, pay someone else to take them for you. Please...SAVE YOURSELF!!!

Get over it dumbass - it's a KIDS movie, intended for children and not pompous boobs working for a second rate publication.

And any parent *not* wishing to accompany their child for a good time at the movies - irrespective of the ill rating assigned by the aforementioned boob reviewer - is not the type of parent who'll do stuff with their kids *simply* to watch them smile.

Eagerly awaiting your next column - can't wait to see what you do to Snow White...

There's only one legitimate place I've found to watch it, the rest seem like scams :-/ You can see it over here though: http://vostuu.com/watch28015.html

They make you do a little survey but after that it's good to go :)

Obviously the box office is controlled by the 12 and under crowd. This is clear when looking at the top grossing films.

It's summer and kids are out of school. Not every parent can afford to send their kids to camp. Movies are a cool place where kids can spend a couple of hours with their friends. So, yeah, the box office is being controlled by the 12 and under crowd.

On top of it being a bad movie, they make you pay for the 3D glasses to see the movie as well. Depending on the theater, the ticket price is at least $3-4 above the regular ticket price. And then they want the glasses back after the movie.

The theatres by me give you the option of seeing the movie in 3-D or the regular screening. My grandson & I go into the regular screening as I don't think he would keep the 3-D glasses on.

After reading the reviews I took my granddaughter to see it. Cute movie. However, I could have taken her to camp for the price.$21.50 to get in,$26.50 for drinks etc. Horseback riding is cheaper. lol

I enjoy taking my grandson to lunch at McDonald's. They have a playground so he can play off some of his energy. We then stop at the supermarket to buy some snacks (NEVER at the theatre candy counter). We go to a matinee,$9.00 for me,$6.50 for him. At least the movies are cool. Can't be in the sun too long on the medication I'm on. LOL!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
