Bill Clinton still in the spotlight

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Though his name is not on the ballot, the race for the Democratic presidential nomination seems in many ways to be about Bill Clinton.

Great news! I hope this is a trend for all the primaries. I'm tired of southern presidents, and dynasties. I don't want to see another Bush or Clinton in the Whitehouse for at least 50 years.

Sorry - can't stand ANY of the candidates!!! They talk about what they're going to do, although they've been with government forever, where's the change???? Was going to go for Obama, but recalled his speech around the time of Katrina when he talked BLACK and pretty much was putting down all the people (read WHITE) who got in their SUVs and hightailed it out of there. I don't care whose in the White House; politics is politics and nothing changes.

For two weeks the Clintons told us they were the candidates that had done the most to support African Americans. Now that they lost South Carolina suddenly the black vote doesn't matter any more. Bill claims it was just a fluke like when Jesse Jackson won there. I guess this is the same kind of support he gives his wife. It's important to back her when she can give him power but not when he decides to have an affair

Michael Tackett asserts: "Race has long been a wedge issue, mostly used by Republicans against Democrats." Hahahahaha. Another leftist useful idiot writing for the Chicago Tribune making an allegation with no evidence to support said allegation. Is there a single fool at the Chicago Tribune who knows what evidence is? Hint: Repeating the boilerplate leftist talking points, wishful "thinking" and cliches uttered by your identically like-minded dupes of the Washington press corps is not evidence.

Is Tackett kidding? It's just the opposite! Democrats/liberals have scared blacks into thinking that Republicans hate them and will legislate against them, just as they scare senior citizens into thinking Republicans are evil and mean and are sure to take their Social Security checks away.(Just the opposite. Democrats roasted President Bush for trying to fix Social Security; they said HE was using scare tactics and it was OK. Remember that if/when it goes bankrupt.) Democrats/liberals demagogue many social issues. Remember welfare reform in the 1990s which the Republican-controlled Congress passed? It had been a Republican-only issue for a long time and Clinton went along with them, to the chagrin of Democrats/liberals (who are probably still irritated at him). Democrats/liberals were warning of starving women and children dropping dead in the street, etc. I guess they got that one wrong, but it is an example of the fear they use to get and keep votes. The end justifies the means, so lying is always OK.

Those are mere allegations. First of all, it was Clinton VOLUNTEERS who sent the emails. Not a paid staffer. Now anyone who works with volunteers knows there is not much vetting going on. Heck, even enemies can volunteer to be on another candidate's staff, and get away with it, at least for awhile.
So you have to make the jump. You have no proof though that the Clinton Campaign was behind it.
We need to be careful, we're at war based on no proof and just circumstantial allegations.
Isn't it odd that it always seems to be Clinton's volunteers or Clinton's staffers doing these dastardly deeds and poor Hil is "shocked, shocked" about it. Come on, folks. How many times are you going to buy that excuse. Do you really think Bill Clinton is not acting exactly as Hillary and he decided? Get real.

Or we can look at Hillary another way: She's not able to organize and control her own staff, not able to stand up to the rigors of campaigning (tearing up), willing to lie about anything and everything, expecting special handling because she's a woman, feeling victimized because she is a woman, etc. Is this person qualified to be president?

Have you ever worked with volunteers? Have you ever even run a small office? If you have, then you know you don't control your employees on the internet. It's such a ridiculous cheap shot to say that someone should have complete control over the emails of their employees, especially volunteers.

Hillary calls the shots on Bill on HER campaign, period.

She's holding up quite well to the rigors of the campaign.

I've never heard her whine in the whole campaign as much as you just did with your ridiculous list.

Why is she the only one having a problem with volunteers and staff? Why is she the only one complaining about being picked on? Why is she the only one getting teary?

Go ahead and think Bill is not running the show. I can understand why you don't know. One can hardly see the puppet strings.
oh no Mr Bill

My worst nightmare is if Hillary is elected and she gets Bill on the U.S. Supreme Court. Then he will NEVER go away. Yuck.(Do they have interns there, too?)
Can you be on the U.S. Supreme Court if the U.S. Supreme Court has previously disbarred you to keep you from pleading before them, or if you have been disbarred by a state Supreme Court, or you have been found guilty of contempt of court by a federal judge for his "willful failure" to obey repeated orders to testify truthfully, or you have been impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice? Unfortunately, I'm sure the Clinton's will find a way.

Why doesn't Obama do the following TV commericial:
Videotape of Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman...."
Narrator: "He wasn't telling the truth then. He' s not telling the truth now. Standard operating procedure for Bill Clinton. And behavior unbecoming of a former President of the United States."
Videotape of Obama's anti-war stance from pre-invasion forum: "The invasion of Iraq is wrong."
Videotape of Clinton ripping Obama's war record and praising Hillary's.
Videotape of a Hillary quote in support of the invasion juxtaposed with video of her refusing to admit that voting in favor of the war was a mistake.
Videotape of Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
The Clintons: Who you gonna believe? Them or your lyin' eyes?
Yea and then you can run the video of Obama saying I never had relations with Rezko...I didn't know he was a crook folks and then the next non racial statement could be from Michelle Obama saying "There ain't no blacks in Iowa". Then the captions could be "wow honey, I sure am glad we bought that house and the extra property before he went to jail" as the audiance chuckes and we fade to commerical..A very entertaining evening.

How can you trust a women married to a sociopath like Bill Clinton.

Clinton accused of 1978 hotel rape

This past sexual conduct after a former campaign worker alleged that he raped her 21 years ago.

Juanita Broaddrick, who now runs a nursing-home business in Arkansas, told the Wall Street Journal that Mr Clinton raped her in the Camelot Hotel in Little Rock in 1978, when he was the state attorney-general.

Mr Clinton persuaded Mrs Broaddrick to have coffee with him in her hotel room during a conference of nursing home administrators in 1978. She alleges that he then forced her on to the bed, where he held her down, bit her lips and raped her.

When it was over, Mrs Broaddrick claims, Mr Clinton told her that she should not worry because he was sterile due to a bout of childhood mumps.

“This is the part that always stays in my mind - the way he put on his sunglasses. Then he looked at me and said ‘You better put some ice on that’. Then he left.”

She was found in a state of shock. In reported speech, she is said to have alleged that Mrs Broaddrick’s lips were discoloured and swollen to twice their normal size and the crotch of her tights was torn.

She just stayed on the bed and kept repeating ‘I can’t believe what happened’,”

1994 January 20 Mrs Broaddrick finally gave NBC television what is said to be her first media interview confirming the original rape allegation.

Scheduled for airing on January 29, the NBC interview has not yet been broadcast. NBC has described it as a “work in progress”- leading to rumours that the White House had put pressure on the network to withhold the story.

The allegations came at a time when many of those involved in the past year’s presidential crisis - including Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp, Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers.

Mrs Broaddrick in 1991 she was called out of a meeting to discover Mr Clinton waiting for her.

He told her he wished to apologise and asked what he could do to make things up to her. Mrs Broaddrick said he could do nothing, and walked away.

I do not like how the media is handling this election. This is a 3 way race but the media is completely ignoring John Edwards. It seems to me the media is shaping up the election. I am for John Edwards all the way. I will not vote for Clinton or Obama. I am a white person and living in Illinois and I am a certified teacher. I was denied interviews with the Chicago Public Schools because I was white and not black. I sued the system and lost. I wrote letters to Jessie Jackson and he did absolutely nothing for me. Obama did nothing for me. Its not fair to be denied an interview because your white. You can google my name and read all my stories with the Chicago Public Schools. If John Edwards does not make it to the end then I will vote for Mitt Romney. Mr. Edwards is the only grown up candidate. I can see now this is an election based on race and not the economy. I live in Illinois and Obama did nothing to make it better. Your all idiots voting for him. A company does not hand over the title of CEO to the newest employee of the company. I will turn off my TV everytime I see Clinton or Obama in the news.
Perhaps you were not hired as a CPS teacher because you cannot spell.
