A candidate who did not want to be viewed through the prism of race prevailed in large part because of it.

- Michael Tackett
This characterization could just as easily apply to Hillary Clinton, but the media wants us to believe that ONLY Obama is the benefit of his racial heritage.

Mr. Tackett writes, "Throughout his (Clinton's) political career the road is littered with opponents who miscalculated how voters would react." Perhaps Mr. Tackett can explain why virtually every candidate in a competitive election whom Mr. Clinton has campaigned for in the past six years has LOST! Look it up. It's a rather long list. And Mr. Tackett might also wish to recall that Mr. Clinton, in two elections, never received even 50 percent of the vote. Popular? Maybe among die-hard reporters.

If there was no two term limit, the Clintons would be running against each other...and neither of them care about you!

I consider Hillary's campaign to be a violation of the constitutional term limits since it's become unclear whether she or Bill would be functioning as President. It's highly unethical for them to present themselves as a 2 for 1 candidacy. Bill gets a huge pension as former president and makes money from that previous position. He never had and never will be a class act. 32 years of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton? I don't think our founding fathers had this scenario in mind when they wrote the declation of independence (from royal families.) No more American "royal families"!

vote for ABC [Anyone But Clinton(s)]

Tackett writes: "Race has long been a wedge issue, mostly used by Republicans against Democrats. Bill Clinton is making it intramural."
What an arrogant, bigoted remark that he just throws into a story with no support. I know according to Democrats "everyone knows that's the way Republicans are". I suggest that Tackett support his assertion, admit he's a Democrat or apologize.

Michael Tackett seems to forget that the Democrats are very good at playing the race card against Republicans. The Democrats have 90% plus of the Black vote in their column and they take this for granted. Maybe this might change with the horrible treatment of Barack Obama by the Clintons who have played the race card against him. Black voters may finally see what sleazy characters Bill and Hillary Clinton really are.

Too bad the networks never incorporated Smellovision. The Clinton really stinks, and he has lowered the station of former President to rock bottom. He soiled the role of President in the White House, so why is anyone surprised? The Clinton machine is sputtering and coming to a halt. Good riddance.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Obama won the Democratic nomination and Hillary ran as an independent.?- It would be like Christmas all over again!

Bill Clinton is looking more and more like King Kong--in the 1933 movie version--in which the simian holds aloft a fetching but terrified Fay Wray--here the Democratic Party--while raging: "Love me! Love me!"

South Carolina shows that truth, simple truth, can still win the field.

That good Democrats believe that a party of change should not also be a party to corruption.

And that government accountability starts with personal responsibiity--something the Clintons famously avoid at all times, in all circumstances.

We must continue to speak truth to power.

Bill Clinton is NOT an issue,
Mr. Tackett. Such reporting (sic)
serves only as hand-out feed for
pidgeon Repuglicrites.
Educate all publics, Mr. Tackett, about this week's release of a study by the Center For Public Integrity & Fund For Independence in Journalism, detailing 935 false statements issued from President Bush, VP Cheney and top administration officials, in the 2-year period following 9/11/2001--
leading up to the illegal Invasion of Iraq in March, 2003 [Title: THE WAR
CARD: ORCHESTRATED DECEPTION ON THE PATH TO WAR].
This IS real NEWS. We are living still
with the multifarious consequences.
Republicrites, of course, are only interested in talkin' about a sex act
in the White House and a president
being untruthful in a deposition
relative to an unrelated, bogus
civil suit. Incredible!!!

In case you hadn't noticed (what are you on man?) Bush & Cheney aren't running in this election. So what is the point of all your jibberish.

Obama is a muslim with other motives. His views are way out there. He has divided the country racially and has undone what trueand honest black leaders have accomplished over many years. Taking on Jesse and Al as an ali has truly diminished his credability and what MLK wanted. MLK is rolling in his grave. Shame on you Obama,Jesse and Al! The United States is truly in trouble if these evil ones succeed. I hope the citizens of this great country realize what is happening.

The Clintons now show their true color. They're using a scorch earth, anything goes strategy in trying to win the nomination. They have no idea how Americans are sick and tired of their divisive, reckless and frankly, racist tactic. This is just a primary, just wait to see what the Clintons will do if they ever get back into the White House. They should not be allowed to go back to the ruling class of this country.

Why doesn't Obama do the following TV commericial:

Videotape of Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman...."

Narrator: "He wasn't telling the truth then. He' s not telling the truth now. Standard operating procedure for Bill Clinton. And behavior unbecoming of a former President of the United States."

Videotape of Obama's anti-war stance from pre-invasion forum: "The invasion of Iraq is wrong."

Videotape of Clinton ripping Obama's war record and praising Hillary's.

Videotape of a Hillary quote in support of the invasion juxtaposed with video of her refusing to admit that voting in favor of the war was a mistake.

Videotape of Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

The Clintons: Who you gonna believe? Them or your lyin' eyes?

The right one wrote: "Obama is a Muslim". Where did you get that information? That is not correct. Obama is a Christian. By the way, it sounds like that comment comes straight out of the dirty trick manual from the Clinton camp. Again, another lie brought to you by Bill and Hillary Clinton!

Brett, you are correct, the Clinton campaign sent off a defamatory email about Obama's secret Muslim loyalties during the Iowa caucuses. She made a big show of firing the staffers who wrote it, but the thing is still around. I've had it forwarded to me twice by people who didn't know better. There are several other inaccurate messages that are circulating as well, through radio talk shows and right-wing mailing lists. I wouldn't be surprised if the others also originated in the Clinton campaign.

Wasn't willie IMPEACHED? Wasn't he the one on tv insulting us with "it depends on what the definition of is is"? Wasn't he the one who lied to us about his affair? Wasn't she the one who "earned" a ton of money on cattle futures? Wasn't she the one who found those missing records from the rose law firm on a table? Let's see now, slime is spelled clinton! imho
