I was deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Connally's unexpected passing. Tina Houston who works at the LBJ library in Houston Texas is a true God-send who put me in touch with her. I treasure her book
"From Love Field" an account of the events of that terrible day in Dallas 43 years ago. To know she spoke those words the last President Kennedy ever heard which she kindly re-wrote in her lengthy message to me "Mr. President, you can't say Dallas doesn't love you" Kennedy's reply was cut off by the sharp loud sound of gunfire has indevibily forever placed her in one of the most tragic moments in the history of this nation and the world. She will be terribly missed but will always and forever be beloved for all the charities she supported and the outstanding love she gave to all even after staring in the face of unspeakable horror will forever be carved in stone in the history of our nation.
