What about Jennifer & Johnathan Hart? OR Fred & Wilma Flintstone? OR Edith & Archie Bunker? OR Ralph & Alice Kramden?

And whats up with including the H*O*M*O*S* on the list? Makes me want to upchuck my lunch!

If you are going to make a list consult someone with a brain. And to all you R*E*T*A*R*D*S* who want to say I have no brain I give you and your "judge it's" a big fat raspberry!

Idiots!

You pick Mulder but not Scully?
Are you kidding me!?
Did you not see any X-File episodes? You put the couple from Burn Notice, sighting that they would take a bullet for each other, you can't possibly doubt Mulder and Scully's loyalty to each other. Early on in the first season Scully states that she wouldn't put her job on the line for anyone but (Mulder). It just grew from there, spilling onto the big screen. In the first movie the intensity and urgency leading up to the near kiss was amazing - when Mulder tells Scully,'But you saved me. As difficult and frustrating as it's been sometimes, your God-damned strict rationalism and science have saved me a thousand times over. You kept me honest. You made me a whole person. I owe you everything, and you owe me nothing. I don't know if I want to do this alone. I don't even know if I can.'
That says it all.
Shame on you for overlooking this dynamic couple of both TV and Film.

I certainly agree with some of the couples listed. Others are from movies or series I'm not familiar with and so am not able to comment. However, I must comment on "Four Weddings and a Funeral". When I finally got around to seeing this overly hyped movie, I was very disappointed. The relationship between Hugh Grant and Andie McDowell was based on nothing but a few brief sexual encounters. The one deep conversation they have in the movie consists of McDowell character listing and describing all the lovers she has had. Yeah, that's the foundation of a permanent and worthwhile relationship. Now, does sex need to be part of the equation? Of course! But it can't be whole formula. Not in real life...nor in the movies.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with an earlier writer who mentioned Farscape's John Crichton and Aeryn Sun. Never in my life has one show moved me from laughter to tears, and with such grace no less. Farscape is easily one of the best shows to ever grace the cathode ray tube.

With that said, I'd also like to add the following shows and their couples:

#1. Battlestar Galactica (The Updated Version)
The human elements between Laura and Adama, or Lee and Kara, or Helo and Boomer.... Hell, the show has so many conflicts, potential metaphors, unfolding mysteries and analogies, etc.... its simply one finest dramas ever produced.
Any interactions occurring between any of its characters could potentially give you a winning pair in this contest.

#2. Agent Cooper and Sheriff Truman from Twin Peaks
To take a page from the earlier "Scrubs" nomination.... I'd like for this on screen duo to get a second look.
These two men, from essentially different worlds, came together in an attempt to solve a gruesome crime. What happened over two seasons became more than just working relationship to say the least.
Cooper and Truman became the best of friends, and saw each other through the worst of times as parts of their personal lives became unraveled.
They became more like Brothers or Comrades in Arms who shared more than just a simple mutual respect of one another. It was touching to watch this friendship unfold and grow on screen in my opinion.

And I'm referring to the original Addams family! Such a cute show, even Lily and Herrman Munster were cute!:-)

At least Lucy and Ricky made it.

I don't understand why y'all pander to the 20 and younger set. They don't have the focus to make it thru 5 couples much less the entire list.

With a list so heavy with tv couples I have to agree with so many others here. No Mulder and Scully?

It seems like your site like most has a writing staff composed mainly of 20 somethings and younger.I guess the kiddies work for free ring tones and subscriptions to Mr Skin.

"what about brenda and dylan from 90210 or even kelly and dylan"

Ok,the doors been opened for me.

What ever happened to Ian Zierling. he thought he was a prima donna. You even had to say his name correctly. Now he's no where to be seen. Middle aged and frumpy. Bet he's real fat. wonder if he looks like Mark Hammill, the guys a freak show.

His fixation with Kelly was pathethic. Dylan didn't even count him as competition. That chick with the glasses Gabriel that Brandon went for was totally boring and dysfunctional.

Some of the story lines was its saving grace.
