<quoted text>Then you might also realize who was president when this country done away with mental institutions, and set thousands of insane individuals out into the streets.
If Carter had released them you'd be calling him the liberator.

If libs screamed we were institutionalizing these folks for no good reason, you'd be on their side.

Sure it is a toy to some gun nuts.
I have no problem with well trained professionals for protection, but not little cowboys with their toys.
Let me assure you I have known gun owners who "dream" of shooting another human. I have known individuals who have actually set up bad guys to have the oppurtunity to shoot them.
I've grown up with hunters my entire life and I've never witnessed anything like what you've said. Sounds like you're talking about low-life, street criminals, not law-abiding citizens. BTW, enough of the "let me assure you"!!! And your statement, "Sure it is a toy to some gun nuts", would best be said as "Sure it is a toy to some nuts". And a homeowner with a weapon isn't a little cowboy nor is he holding a toy! Who the hell do you think is going to be around when you're life is on the line? I don't care to take that risk.

You should pick better friends.
Let me assure you that the people you describe are on the fringe and not representative of most gun owners.
And where exactly where did I say these people where my friends.

You sort of live in a "one mirror world", do you not.

>Let me assure you<, I was not speaking of responsible gun owners. Also I blame the NRA in part fort their propaganda over the last sixty or so years for our nation being a nation who believes everyone should own "TWENTY FIVE WEAPONS".

We have become a nation of gun violence,{compared to other countries} not because we need guns in most cases but rather it's the "right thing" to do!{Instead of legal means many believe it's their right to settle the dispute with a gun.

No, when we are concerned and discussing guns I will preface with the adjective, if not my comments might include a million different scenerios.

I depend on no other for the protection of mine, you seem to believe I consider myself as anti-gun, I'm not.

What I do object to is, the manufacture, sales, and inportation of military type weapons which were developed to kill as many as quickly as possible, AND in which these gun nuts choose in the majority of mass school shootings.

Also this is a open forum and I will use any sentence structure I prefer,{let me assure you} and will not condem you for your use of phrases.

I'm beginning to question your age maturity, due to your inability to comprehend, or crossing your arms and stomping your feet and using inmature descriptions {mean looking guns} over and over.
You haven't proved they do now cupcake. What mass killings are you talking about. Have you seen the advanced report on the wounds yet?

How about this joe? The American people are entitled to defend their families with the same weapons your family is defended with. When your SS detail has double barrel shotguns , we will limit ourselves to the same.

"Cupcake"??? How old are you?

As a matter of fact I did see the Coroners report on the Sandy Hook massacre.{ Part of which stated each baby had four to six wounds} Along with rerports from first responders that helped in the aftermath.{In which some have had to have help in coping with the sights and their emotions.}

Go back to post#263 and take your second sentence advice. Sort of hard to spin when there is a written history. You asked the question then you google it!

Don't need a gun to "defend my family". Never have and never will need to hug a gun to feel safe from the boogeyman, or the tyrannical ....(fill in the blank with the scare du jour) and/or shoot Bambi.

After all, I believe we still believe we are a first world country?

You dumb broad, YOU posted an unattributed quote. I don't have to google it, YOU do. Plagiarism is theft.

By the way, you CHERRY PICKED and omitted adverse information in your "clip."

Also, you should investigate THIS:'Community Mental Health Act'

Now, who was the president when THAT was enacted?
