You are looking at gun deaths per 100,000 people. Not Gun murders. Gun deaths include hunting accidents, suicides, and justifiable shootings.
Even with all of those included, since the total population of Wyoming is only 575,000 people, that 18 gun deaths per 100,000 people equals less than 105 per year in the whole State.

Wyoming, is #4 in the US for gun deaths per 100,000 or about 105 total gun deaths in 2011.
Massachusetts is #50 in the US for gun deaths per 100,000 or about 206 total gun deaths in 2011.

No, what she wants is to make all semi-automatic weapons illegal. That includes handguns. Seven rounds? That you have correct. But how many revolvers hold more than eight rounds?

While they may not inspect our homes to see if we kept our priceless weapons, if you are caught with one (assuming this bill gets passed) you will face criminal charges be it at the gun range or defending your home or person. There is no grandfather clause in her proposal.

So innocent civilians would honor the new law by not taking (or using) their semi-automatic weapon. That puts the criminal or attacker at a great advantage because they will continue to use those semi-automatic weapons to subdue us or bring us harm and death.

One more thing you are correct on: these proposals are not meant to take our weapons. They are meant to take more freedom away from us; more government control over our lives.

It doesn't say I can't either. Considering the Constitution uses the general term "arms" and at the time, the military and citizenry had the same arms, it makes more sense that it means we can have military style weapons.
If I should stick to ball and musket, you should stick to a news paper from a manual printing press, and go pick it up via horse and carriage. The constitution doesn't say you can have a radio, tv, computer, automobile, motorcycle, or electricity either.

I always love these idiots who talk about "Gun", there is no such animal. A gun does not have the ability to kill anybody, only a person using a gun kills people. Using the arguments of the gun control people you could make the same argument for a ban against all cars that are capable of speeds in excess of 55MPH, after all the constitution provides no protection for automobiles. Come on people, when are we going to understand that the problem is not the quanity of guns on the street but the quality of people on the street?

This happened just a few days ago in a small town that is kind of a suburb of Dayton. Fairborn is a mostly Military town,(Wright Patterson AFB) covering parts of Greene and Montgomery counties.
Although I think there was more to the story, meaning I don't believe the intruders picked the house randomly, because most of the houses are pretty much the same, there were not nicer cars out front than any other house, I agree the guy living there had a right to shoot to protect himself, and he did. Think the guys living there were students at Wright State U.

I have no problem with that. It was different than Zim and Martin.
But point is he did not need or use an assault weapon to protect himself.
