As usual the Obama Administration implements a smart and reasoned approach. Vice-President Biden said it perfectly; “As long as the Taliban does not continue to shelter Al Qaeda, the US doesn’t consider them their enemy. This set up another victory for President Obama like the victory in Iraq by winning that war and bringing the troops home for Christmas.

The Taliban is Ocommie's friend, and Americans are "the enemy".

Meanwhile Ocommie's releasing Gitmo Taliban terrorists and Al Qaeda is joining up with the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya.

Source: Al Qaeda leader sends veteran jihadists to establish presence in Libya

(CNN)-- Al Qaeda's leadership has sent experienced jihadists to Libya in an effort to build a fighting force there, according to a Libyan source briefed by Western counter-terrorism officials.

The jihadists include one veteran fighter who had been detained in Britain on suspicion of terrorism. The source describes him as committed to al Qaeda's global cause and to attacking U.S. interests.

The source told CNN that the al Qaeda leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, personally dispatched the former British detainee to Libya earlier this year as the Gadhafi regime lost control of large swathes of the country.

The man arrived in Libya in May and has since begun recruiting fighters in the eastern region of the country, near the Egyptian border. He now has some 200 fighters mobilized, the source added. Western intelligence agencies are aware of his activities, according to the source.

Sheads light on why the closeted Muslim Brotherhood member and clandestine jihadist Barack Hussein Obama was so eager to use NATO to get rid of Gadhafi.

U.S. mulls transfer of Taliban prisoner in perilous peace bid
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/exclusive-u-mulls-tr...

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- The Obama administration is considering transferring to Afghan custody a senior Taliban official suspected of major human rights abuses as part of a long-shot bid to improve the prospects of a peace deal in Afghanistan, Reuters has learned.

The potential hand-over of Mohammed Fazl, a 'high-risk detainee' held at the Guantanamo Bay military prison since early 2002, has set off alarms on Capitol Hill and among some U.S. intelligence officials.

As a senior commander of the Taliban army, Fazl is alleged to be responsible for the killing of thousands of Afghanistan's minority Shi'ite Muslims between 1998 and 2001.

According to U.S. military documents made public by WikiLeaks, he was also on the scene of a November 2001 prison riot that killed CIA operative Johnny Micheal Spann, the first American who died in combat in the Afghan war. There is no evidence, however, that Fazl played any direct role in Spann's death.

Senior U.S. officials have said their 10-month-long effort to set up substantive negotiations between the weak government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the Taliban has reached a make-or-break moment. Reuters reported earlier this month that they are proposing an exchange of "confidence-building measures," including the transfer of five detainees from Guantanamo and the establishment of a Taliban office outside of Afghanistan.

Now Reuters has learned from U.S. government sources the identity of one of the five detainees in question.

Well said and great comment. I, for one, think war is a chest game just being played back and forth between players who sit high in this world. And their purpose is to put into position their pawns who would represent their agendas the best. Take the Afghan President for example, yeah -after we've invaded Afghan in the past before, the U.S. & allies have managed to put a United Nations appointed Political figure to lead Afghanistan.(Keep in mind the United Nations is mainly influenced by Britain and the U.S.)It is expected that the Afghan leader Karzai would comply to the Obama Admin. Even if President Amid Karzai's name sounds Afghan, and he looks Afghan he's not a liberalist rebel of the land Afghanistan who would liberate his country from the grips of a New World Government to come. The United Nations is a big phase to accomplishing that.

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

The Hawaii Reporter compiled an estimated account of expenses for the Obama trip and found that, before factoring in unknown costs, taxpayers forked over almost $1.5 million. Here’s how the paper broke it down:

•Mrs. Obama’s early flight to Hawaii:$63,000 (White House Dossier)
•Obama’s round trip flight to Hawaii:$1 million (GAO estimates)
•Housing in beachfront homes for Secret Service and Seals in Kailua ($1,200 a day for 14 days):$16,800
•Costs for White House staff staying at Moana Hotel:$134,400 ($400 per day for 24 staff)– excluding meals and other room costs
•Police overtime:$250,000 (2009 costs reported by Honolulu Police Department)
•Ambulance:$10,000 (City Spokesperson)
•TOTAL COST:$1,474,200

Those who criticize the cost of Obama’s Christmas vacation don’t want you to know that George W. Bush spent at least $20 million taxpayer dollars just on flights to his ranch in Crawford.

The right wing has been outraged at the four million dollar plus price tag for Obama’s family Christmas vacation, and they constantly hold George W. Bush up as an example of how thrifty a president should be when going on vacation.

The problem is that W. wasn’t thrifty. He was the most expensive vacation president in US history. Not only did Bush spend more days on vacation than any other president, but he used Air Force One more often while on vacation than any other president.

During Bush’s two terms, the cost of operating Air Force One ranged from $56,800 to $68,000 an hour. Bush used Air Force One 77 times to go to his ranch in Crawford, TX. Using the low end cost of $56,800, Media Matters calculated that each trip to Crawford cost taxpayers $259,687 each time, and $20 million total for Bush’s ranch flights.

And ofcourse there is the release of the terrorist Fazl from Gitmo. That's one of the DEMANDS from the Taliban.

Who trusts the Taliban?

You release Fazl, then what's the excuse for keeping Pollard?

George Bush flew to his HOME,(remember reporters whining there was nothing to do in Crawford, TX, it was a hick town; and how they hated it?)Bush does not fly to a vacation retreat!

Did Laura fly ahead of Bush or did she fly WITH HIM unlike Michelle?

How often do the Obamas fly HOME to Chicago and VACATION there? Rarely!

The arrogance of the Obamas is palable.

Amazingly put!
A great example of what you're saying is Vietnam. The war was meant to be SUSTAINED and not WON - for the reason that it reaped massive monetary benefits for the elite Federal Reserve Internation Bankers. The U.S. alone had to borrow large amounts of valueless money with interest tacked on from the Bank of England to support the production of war weapons & ammo, the troops, food & medical loss, traveling/gas & oil cost, etc. And even the otherside who the U.S were opposing in the war were buying and borrowing from the same monetary central banking system, which the profits eventually ended up in the pockets of the same people. John D. Rockefeller made 200-million dollars from World War I -and that was just his share without looking at his Banking partners. And that war cost about 30-billion dollars for America alone which was borrowed at interest from the Fed. Reserve Bank. Secretary of State William Jennings said:"The large banking admin. were deeply interested in the World War because of the wide opportunities for large profit." and Mayer Amschel Rothschild once said,"Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." The American people should know that -interest on borrowed money is debt, and debt = slavery. I agree that War is definitely a business of profit for the few on top of the Rubik's cube and secondly an act of population control.

Oh that's right:

President Bush and first lady Laura Bush have bought a home in the Preston Hollow of Dallas where they will live after the president leaves office in January.
Property records list other homeowners in the neighborhood as Tom Hicks, owner of the Texas Rangers, who has a $32.3 million mansion adjacent to the cul-de-sac, billionaire T. Boone Pickens and Republican donor Harold Simmons.

Obama, and Biden played right into the terrorists hands. They were duped by the uneducated savages in Afghanistan. The American people elected the worst of the worst, then wonders why they act so stupid. You have one chance to correct our problems, and return America to her greatness. Elect anyone but Obama-Biden, and their people next November.

First, the economy was thriving under Bush until the Pelosi/Reid commiecrats took control of congress after the 2006 midterms. 2nd, Bush stopped playing golf out of respect for the military at war; Ocommie's played 90 rounds in 3 years.

And 3rd, how many foreign dignitaries does Ocommie entertain on his surfboard, you communist moron? Bush's Crawwford home was known as "White House West" because of the genuine work he did there.
________

When libs bash Bush for his Crawford vacations, why do they conveniently FORGET that Bush's visits to Crawford were WORKING vacations.... more like TELECOMMUTING than vacations...

Crawford was a fully functioning Western White House, with communications and staff equivalent to the WH in DC... He hosted foreign dignitaries there as well...

Visitors to the ranch have included:
• Russian President Vladimir Putin, November 2001
• British Prime Minister Tony Blair, April 2002
• Saudi King Abdullah, April 2002, April 2005
• Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan, August 2002
• Chinese President Jiang Zémín, October 2002
• Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar, February 2003

• Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi Jun'ichiro, May 2003

Maybe the Taliban aren't our enemies,
but if they are in power and allow
al-Qaeda to use their territory to train
people in terrorism they will be. We have
to make sure that the Taliban understand in no uncertain terms that we reserve the right to
go after terrorism wherever it rears its ugly head.
