Better than all the rest, a legand and a great man. A loss to us, I believe in Heaven and his place in it. Vale to a great man.

Yes great actor. Probably a nice guy as well.

Why was he a "great man"? Does that sauce cure cancer or something? Obviously not.

Just to let you know dip shit, Paul Newman donated over $250,000,000.00 to charity after he started "Newman Foods". I think that qualifies Paul Newman to named a great man. Beside that, he was a good husband, father and loyal friend. Is that enough to satisfy your ignorance?
P.S. Paul was a pretty good race car driver too.
P.P.S. What have you done with your life, dip shit?

What have I done with my life? Well being called "dipshit" by some hobo from Vegas would be right up there. Why couldn't you just say "well as a matter of fact"? Go make yourself another butt fudge sundae you freak.

You are kidding right ? Newmans own has given 100% of its proceeds to CHARITY - USD 220 MILLION todate.

Paul Newman was one of a kind. A true gentleman and one of the few faithful husbands & familymen in otherwise morality-less Hollywood.

RIP great man, we salute you.

I enjoyed his part in "the Exodus" You would almost believe he was hebrew. I put him on the same level as Charlton Heston. One of a kind.

Ooh yeah, I'm speechless. Such a sharp witty response for a homeless guy. Tell me, richardmuncher, what's your favourite Paul Newman movie? Was it that disney pixar film "Cars" he did not so long ago? I'm sure that appeals to your highly evolved american intellect.

Nagaspirit,
Paul Newman was and is a Hebrew. The original meaning for the word "Hebrew" comes from Mesopotamia in the land of "Ur" where Abraham his ancestor came from. It means "one who has crossed over" the Euphrates River.

To:Mr. High Rises,
Thanks for calling me "sharp" and "witty". But, the other comments; "hobo from Vegas", "homeless guy", "freak", how do you know so much about me? Are you clairvoyant? And you seem to hate Americans. Granted, Americans do a lot of stupid things, but it's really the Neocons who are doing all the damage, and that is a recent phenomenon. If the Neocons are not removed from power, we (the world) can expect a world wide economic crash that will make the "Great Depression" of the thirties look like a picnic. And then, there will be a power grab for all the money the Neocons "borrowed" from China, Japan and others, to finance their quest for world domination, which will then lead to war in all its' forms. And if that happens, Australia, may again, become the penal colony that it was originally.
Cheerio young chap, and lighten-up, there are more important things in life than insulting the reputation of a fine actor.
P.S. You too, will get old and die some day, so be careful along the way. The life you save, Will Be Your Own.

I hardly insulted Paul Newman's good name. I merely asked a question as to what made him a great man as opposed to a great actor[?]. You should take your own advice old man, as it was you who started with the insults. I maybe half your age, but I'm old enough to know that elderly people can be bigger assholes than most if they want to be. As for americans, I only dislike the types that come in here sprouting their oh so well informed political here say as though it were gospel. Just let it go! We too, all the way down here in Orstreljia get to listen to Bill O'Reilly and CNN to you know. Don't think you're enlightening anybody pal, because it's been no big secret that the US owes more in foreign debt to China than you have in your own pockets for a long time! Well maybe it's news to you lot just recentley..LMFAO.. You guys are officially on Struggle St. Too bad. Our economy on the other hand, is doing better than most OECD countries, even if because we pay more in taxes. But that's our business. Feel free to talk about us, back home in the Las Vegas Nevada forum.
P.S. I don't hate americans. Just those who like to hang around here making nuisances of themselves. We maybe be talking about you, but that doesn't necessarily mean we're talking to you. You guys have waaay too much fluoride in your water.

The original charities I think. He would have taken care of that in his will.

I think he was a 'great man' in the sense that he was so widely respected and well known for his work for charity and children's causes (like his camp for sick children).

George Clooney said:

"He set the bar too high for the rest of us. Not just actors, but all of us."

And Paul Newman himself said:

"It's been a privilege to be here."

Not a bad obituary.

Paul Newman was OK. I guess. Brando was a better actor. Newman looked pretty.
