This is why Kaine is on his way out and Bob McDonnell is on the way in. People are jobless, being foreclosed upon, taxed within an inch of their lives and over the whole,"We mismanage and then you all pay, routine"! I know I am!

Oops, the State Government overspent. Let's repossess the Government- sound good? We could sell-off the government's property and have a surplus.

Wonderful suggestion -- lets' get some petitions going as this would be a way to show the government offices that we're tired of broken promises and taxation!

The victims are the residents of localities (counties, towns& cities) which once had their own car tax. The lost car tax revenues have been replaced by increased personal property & real estate taxes. Gilmore's farsical no-car tax campaign haunts us all. We all knew this reinstateent of the car tax, on top of the personal property tax we alreay pay for vehicles, would happen - when was the only unknown.

So next election let's vote against any supervisor who didn't vocally oppose and vote against the tax increases. This means you Bob Hale and Connie Brennen!

Republicans are decent people. They will get rid of the taxes once and for all.

Hey all you folks who took advantage of cash for clunkers (even if you didn't really need a newer car but decided, hey, I'm getting something from the government for nothing)are you going to enjoy paying increased taxes on your new ride? It's impossible to keep on giving away taxpayer money, without that taxpayer eventually having to pay the piper.

I thought about trading into a more economical truck, but mine has finally depreciated to the point where the taxes are nil. Any fuel savings would be eaten up by car tax, and the selection of overpriced and not that economical offerings available wasn't that exiting anyhow.

The car tax is not a tax because you don't have to drive one if you don't want to. Just ask the c-ville patriot.

They should drastically raise fines on speeders and drunk drivers. Make the criminals pay not the law abiding citizen.

By that logic, the tax on food isn't a tax because you don't have to buy food (grow your own!), the tax you pay on your electricity isn't a tax because you don't need to use power (burn wood, baby!)...
