I first say Jewel at Be Here Now, with an audience of around 100. A year later I saw her opening for Neil Young in front of 10,000! She is a classy performer and a sensitve and talented person. Glad she came our way.

what an assinine comment from a jealous artiste...about a very refreshing talent...she has overcome huge obstacles to get where she is...now she's goin country...lots of stars crossover to other styles...and she seemed to be very street smart in her radio interview. Wish she had performed at the L'orangery.

One individual's huge obstacles serve as inspiration to others. She clearly was born with a talent. The entertainment world, especially folk and blues artists I think, have many such stories. She is no doubt a jewel.

So the girl starts dating a bull rider and she turns into a redneck country singer--why waste your talent on country music????

BTW--I didn't know people actually listened to Kiss Country. I bet all 3 listeners had their ears glued to the car radio to hear such a big star (HA!)

I knew her when she was sleeping in a car in Homer Alaska. She is just another kid that wants to be a star, and this recent promotion is part of it. So? All you wanna beeeeees out there pay attention. Its called payin your dues. So stop the whining and the crying, tune up your guitars,(if you can) and get busy.

I like Jewel. She probably made a "quick stop" after looking out of her bus window and seeing all the freaks.

I think Jewel is an admirable young lady. She's very talented, paying her dues, promoting her music and doing it one town at a time.

I do agree with you, Sgt., she probably made it quick because of all of the freaks!
