My family and I were so excited about heading to Lake Lure this weekend to attend the tribute to Patrick Swayze that was being held at the Firefly Cove. Unfortunately we took the opportunity on Saturday morning to go visit the Firefly in hopes of seeing some of the remains of one of the best movies ever made. John Cloud made his position and attitude well known by all. He was extremely rude and treated us as if we didn't have any right being on HIS property. We respected that he owned everything but we certainly didn't expect such a rude person to be in charge of anything to do with such a fine man as Patrick Swayze. We ended up not attending the event we went up there for. I just wanted to say if anyone else was slapped in the face by that rude, arrogant Mr. Cloud I feel sorry for them. We also learned when we went out for dinner that night that he has a very bad reputation in town as being the jerk we encountered. I don't know how anyone would buy property from him if they have to live close to him.
