That's what I'm talking about. How much is enough. After 18 years of no new crime and the state still want more blood. I can understanding having to live by the law that was in effect when convicted. But after you servered your time is is unconstitutional to make the news laws retroactive. You can't be punished over and over. That's what our fore-fathers faught so hard for is now what's being ignored.

hey hun, sorry but your boyfriend will now be put on the national registry just for visiting Florida. i know, it happened to me. the National registry just picks up the info. and places it on their site. It may screw him ALOT harder than you think.

I am considered a sex offender in 48 states that I know of. If I told you all the new laws and regulations I must abide by it would go on for many pages. There are new laws imposed upon me daily and I have never even received anything more than a parking ticket since the incident occurred in 1995. I completed my probation 100% on time and in full.. I hugged a girl, she said I touched her breast. she and I were both about 30 years old at the time. it was non-violent, not with a minor and only a misdemeanor. None of that matters to law enforcement, They just classify me as sex offender and make no distinctions between me and child molesters. I was never told a single word of any registration at sentencing. I pled no contest because I thought it might ruin her marriage or career as she worked there. It was at a nudist resort and we were both clothed at all times. Remember, I must know and comply with the registration laws of every state I visit or stay and each state is completely different. So, how could anyone keep up with the laws of 50 states that change daily when they can't even update their websites that quickly. Arizona told me that I would have to register even though I didn't equate to a single regristrable offense on their website. the said, "those laws changed over 1 1/2 yrs ago and we haven't had time or money to update the web". Due Process is out, so I cannot even get a trial to prove myself no threat to society even though I could easily attain 1000 character witness letters to show I am totally peaceful with all life Anyone who says it is not a punishment to enact continuous new laws is not being realistic. IT shames you daily, it makes you be burdened with things that were not part of your sentence and that you really don't want to do. when you burden people with making them do things against there will it is a form of punishment no matter what anyone says. It costs $, time, headaches, auto wear and tear as I have to show up anytime I leave the county for over 3 days. I could leave the country at will during my probation and now 12 years later they make a law that I cannot even leave the county without reporting in person when leaving and returning. I pled no contest thinking I wouldn't argue this but not thinking it was an admittance of guilt. anyone who reads the case can see many of her lies but I know many people who would not contest or argue a matter as not to have to lower themselves or defend their integrity because it sits okay with them. I had a lawyer who never had a criminal case before or after me. If anyone knows how I could possibly get help please let me know. I have had to leave my home in FLORIDA, the woman I Love, my properties and up and move constantly because of new changing laws that were not part of my sentence. Truthfully, I think I would rather have the death penalty than to have to put up with all these new enforcement which I was never told of. You'd think it's only a misdemeanor but even the cops when they pull me over aren't informed of that info.

October 15th 2008. AND SO it is DONE and awaiting action by the US Supreme Court. The WRIT to ELIMINATE the Florida Sex Offender Registry has been "docketted" at the Supreme Court. It WILL be heard (my crystal ball says Summer of 2009); IT will be APPROVED 9 to 0. WHY ? Because the Florida Statutory scheme was written by Various Knuckleheads in Florida (yano, dem peple are dum -- evn da smart uns') and the path was lead by the infamous page-ofile Mark Foley. GEE he was never charged with anything; must have given the prosecutor a "wind" -job !! Wait Watch and you will see. 2009 NO MORE REG IS TRY !!

Florida Law is so old and things changes on us on a daily basics. The sex offender website is ridiculous and people that see it gets misleaded. I do want you guys to write letters about it to the congress and to the senate to divide it as other states do. Sex offenders are not sexual predators. We need to educate our politicians. It's crazy how innocent people is affected by the stupid law that our state got.
