Jazz festival will relive spirit of '59

In one year, three of the genre's giants created three of the greatest albums of all time in Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue," John Coltrane's "Giant Steps," and Dave Brubeck's "Time Out." Five decades later, the Monterey Jazz Festival will celebrate the seminal works with a tribute as the centerpiece of the 52nd annual event, set for Sept.
