Why do you people follow what the media tells you rather than having any sense?
Just because somebody calls themselves a muslim does not mean they are truly a submitted one.

So, the media which is known to spread lies, is basis enough that she is an actual "muslim" just because they claim so? How can you say that I am doubting when I have not gotten involved in the matter, for it is not my business. If she is a muslim, then she is a muslim, Allah knows what I know not. If she isn't a muslim, Allah knows what I know not. Does it increase one's faith if a certain celebrity "converts to Islam" anyway?

Also, the guy she "married" has a lot of money don't you think? The Qur'an is pretty clear about those that desire the gains of this life...

The media also speaks the truth.
Why are you against her being a Muslim.
I suspect you are jealous of her marriage from your other post about her husbands wealth.
You should stay out of this matter as it is showing your deficiencies.

I'm sure that some do-just like Catholics and Hindus and Russian Orthodox do, and Christians of all stripes from South America, Africa and Mexico. I imagine that Janet's new husband could buy himself into citizenship w/o marrying to get it.

The reason that many Muslim men marry out of the religion is because they are not restrained from doing so! The point is that Muslims can marry outside of their religion-at least men can, without being excommunicated from the church or despised by their family. And no Christian woman has any reason to convert simply because they marry a Muslim man.

Most non Muslim women marrying Muslim men are not even living in the same country as their in laws or are already in a primarily Christian nation such as ours-that influence is not avoidable, nor is the basic inclination-you can fake a shahaddah, but someone who is not really converted will not easily give up Christmas or Easter. The influence will remain.

The deal is that if a woman does marry a Muslim, the children are to be brought up in as Muslims. It is the father's responsibility to see to that education.

Janet Jackson is pretty much past the age of bearing children. Not impossible, but not likely. She may have been inclined to convert in any case as her brother converted many years ago. Raised a Jehovah's Witness, Islam is not even a big stretch in some ways.

Maybe Janet realized that the supposed monotheism of the JW's is a falsehood as they make Jesus a lesser god than Jehovah-truly the demigod of the ancient pagan religions.

Jehovah's witnesses are God's chosen people, and the only people who practice the true religion of pure worship to God, and if you do not believe that, makes no difference to J.W.'s.

Ex Jehovah's witnesses are free to live anyway they want to, they just have no share with the inheritance of our King Jesus and his obedient sheep or subjects today.

Uh, most JWs are NOT (last time I checked) considered to be heirs of the kingdom, so your vague allusion to JWs as being heirs is disingenuous at best. You know that there are few JWs who believe they are heirs to the kingdom of god as taught in the Christian faith. Or did that teaching change like so many of the others have?

You all don't worship-you pray the same tired prayers at every meeting, answer the same scripted questions and basically, stand around patting yourselves on the back about how much righteousness you possess in the "organization" while you try peddling the cheap pap to the masses while not caring if they even listen-so long as you can pat yourself on the back for knocking on their doors.

Don't be so naïve or ignorant. Your racist rants and taunts show nothing but your true self. You know nothing about the Muslim religion, nor do you understand its foundations. You may not want to; that's completely up to you. However, unless you actually know the facts and know what you are talking about, your rants will only make you look the fool. I suggest you get an education, and if you have one, clearly not a good one.

First of all, if it is indeed true; then congratulations Janet Jackson on the decision you made. As long as the decision was made for the right reason and not for love of an individual, but the belief in the religion chosen, then good on you. Secondly, it's really sad to see people's negative comments, firstly on Janet Jackson's choice to do what she wants (it's nobody's business) and second of all seeing all the racism, prejudice and bigotry hurled at one another.
As a Muslim, I can tell you that Islam is a peaceful religion that respects everyone's views and everyone's religion. We believe in Mohammed, Moses and Jesus. Just remember that.
Finally, let's not hate and let's not hurt. Aren't you all sick and tired of it? Haven't enough people died? Haven't enough people hurt? Remember hate is not something you're born with, it's something you are taught. What do you want to teach your children and the next generation? Think about it.
