I want to start a new thread for fans to comment on why they think JMV is such a great actor and why he was so good in so many different types of films.

Well, no one has posted on this thread--so I guess I will comment myself--I just saw the movie Redline released in 1995. Jan was an associated producer in this film. This film was a car chase action film. I liked the edge-of-your-seat feeling from the driving sequences. I also liked the original music. Jan took a pivotal role in this film, that of the antagonist forcing the lead Chad McQueen into difficult choices to achieve his goal. You can see the hospital bracelet on Jan's right wrist in the warehouse scenes at the end of the movie. He had been hospitalized after he smashed his truck into a canyon wall in 1994. This was the first of his car accidents. His face was cut and bruised and I'm sure he was still in pain during the filming of this movie yet he's there. That's dedication. He had a responsiblity to that film, and as always Jan gave 100% effort to the success of the film.

You know, I think he was such a great actor because he was genuine. I don't think he had to force anything. He seemed very natural to me. I don't think he got the credit he deserves.

As a kid growing up there was and still is some things that I hold very dear to me <{[(AIRWOLF)]}> is one of those things. It has only lately come to my attention JMV's out of control alchohol usage. But, I tell you what hear you me, when they killed the <{[(AIRWOLF)]}> television series, a peice of JMV died with it. I personally don't care what kind of trouble JMV has gotten into in recent year's. To me, that's String Fellow Hawke( I would have changed my name to String if it were me! but anyways) it was, and always will be. I just hope deep down in my heart whatever he's going through things work out for the best. And I never got my <{[(AIRWOLF)]}> movie, I'm still pretty ticked about that, but you never know, maybe one day they'll make this overgrown kids dream happen. Until then it's are job to try to find the peice of JMV that Hollywood land crashed and try to rebiuld it. Otherwise we may never get are <{[(AIRWOLF)]}> movie.
I really don't know what else to say?
Sincerely,

I don't have anything else to say but that this actor touched my heart, i saw his inner kid when he used to smile or cry.
I'm telling you this guy is a greater actor than tom cruise, he was just unlucky the alcohol thing happened and then the horrific accident and his wife leaving him.

I love you jan.
Always will.
Please come back :(
