I'm ready now James. Did Ben and Sally attend, lots of information about your twin sons....what about your two musician children that you were suppossed to have raised with Carly Simon? What did you do there? Run?

I am fortunate enough to work somewhere which allows me to run into JT often.

Mr Taylor, hopefully you see this. You are one of the nicest guys that I've ever met. Both you and your wife take the time to say hello to everyone with a smile on your face. I'll never forget when you stopped in te middle of the driveway to offer strangers a ride to their vehicle during a rainstorm.

Your music is awesome and often helps me through tough times.

It's refreshing to see people like you regrdless of your celebrity status.

The Berkshire is proud and fortunate to have both you and your family as residents.

God bless.

"James Taylor Fan", so if JT is so thoughtful, wonderful, caring and nice, why can't he see his way clear to playing a USO gig for the troops doing the heavy lifting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Where's the fellow's common decency and patriotism?
Certainly, it'd be the least a caring entertainer would do, don't you think?

Hey HELLer -

Just think....it you went out and got a job utilizing all the time you spend writing your foolish comments on all of these discussion boards...you could earn a bunch of money - then you can send all of that to the troups in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Make better use of your time...and ours...and stop posting your annoying comments on these boards.

We don't care what you think.

"Prove me wrong", "truckdriver", and "2cents", you guys just don't want to face facts.
Taylor may have a record company-produced image of that of a wonderful, caring, concerned, ex-hippie, folk-singing troubadour, but the fact is he has a history of being a troubled egocentric repeat drug addict who allows personal views and personal politics to interfere with public obligations as an entertainer.
By not volunteering to entertain with USO, he's proved himself to be nothing more than just another preening primadonna possessed of his own perceived self-importance.
If the guy had any b-a-l-l-s, he'd be asking USO to book him on appearances a total of one month per year so he would have the honor of playing for US troops all over the globe as well as in the theaters of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Face it guys, your hero is an unpatriotic, partisan weakling who loves to take in all that public approbation from the safe stage at Tanglewood but who can't seem to return that appreciation by acknowledging in a meaningful way via USO tours the real sacrifice of US kids in harm's way overseas.

Are you talking about James Taylor? This part of the description fits your buddy Rush Limbaugh as well ...

This "JT and the Troops" has been discussed countless times over the pat few months. IMO, JT is NOT the performer they want to see. Artie Lange, yes. "I've seen fire and I've seen rain" ... no.

Why on earth would the troops want to see JT? Am I missing something? Does JT have some sort of a big following amongst 18-20 something blue collar types? Did the USO ask him to play? If not than why is this even an issue?

btw: I don't really care for JT's music that much.
