I am from Lewiston, New York just north of Niagara Falls and have been following James Taylor for more than 30 years. Had the pleasure of attending his concert at Tanglewood last year and again this year. This concert was by far the best! I have seen him more than 100 times and this certainly did not disappoint me. Sheryl Crow and Yo-Yo Ma were an added beautiful touch. Waited for over 30 years to shake his hand and I was afforded the opportunity as well as getting his autograph. A night to remember.

The fawning Clarence Fanto gushes:
"The energy level was at a fever pitch both nights and the overall effect, enhanced by creative lighting and set design, was hypnotic and transformative."
Really Clarence, was the energy level at a fever pitch?
Gee.
Good thing you decided to report this in an objective way.

It was a great show. We went on Saturday and the rain held off. My sister went on Friday and got soaked but had a good time anyway. All in all, it was a great late summer evening in the Berkshires. Only a sourpuss would bother to post something negative here, right Heller? We'll just call you Lemon Kitty from now on (the Sour Puss.)

All I said was that it would be nice to have an objective review, something which Clarence Fanto has repeatedly shown he is no longer capable of writing when it comes to the subject of James Taylor or any of the other Berkshire-based prima donnas.
Contrast Mr. Fanto's gushy, salivating prose with the serious reviews of Andrew L. Pincus and the difference is stark.

Clarence Fanto is simply no longer believable as a reviewer of the Berkshire cultural scene because he is far too willing to pimp for his subjects instead of giving honest warts-and-all appraisals.

I think Saturday's concert was the best of the four. Whether or not it was worth the $$ is a personal value judgement.

24 bucks for lawn tix for 2 1/2 hours of James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, and Yo Yo Ma? Not too much in my opinion but I agree, it's all a personal value judgement.

I totally agree. The lawn tickets are a bargain. I was thinking of the big bucks seats in the Shed, which in my opinion were still worth it for these concerts. Too many people just blab away during the entire concert on the lawn, as if the music is secondary to their party. I was inside for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but did the lawn scene on Sunday, by the way. Dollar for dollar, not many performers are in JT's neighborhood, but Bruce Springsteen comes to mind...

Daily Horoscope for November 23

Leo

The Moon and Neptune smooch in your seventh house of marriage and partnership today, making you long for a dream lover. It's easy to imagine that a frog is really a prince or princess today because reality is not what you're looking for in a partner at the moment. On the other hand, a very spiritual, ideal relationship can be a reality under this influence. It all depends on your state of mind.
