Wait a minute. Who are the ones writing books like "Shut Up and Sing" and "Celebutards" that state that liberal celebrities should keep their political views to themselves?
I'll admit that "The People Vs. Larry Flynt" was a factually dubious whitewash (most film biographies are), but can Jonah Goldberg deny that it accurately portrayed Charles Keating expressing moral outrage over porn magazines while he was bilking elderly people out of their life savings in the S&L scandal?
I lived in Cincinnati during those years. Keating was/is a loathsome human being. His brother the congressman wasn't much better.

Gotta tell ya, I love your avatar. I'm sure there's a lot of wingnuts that will call you a communist over it, but it's still clever.

Yeah, Groucho Marx-Karl Marx LOL. how very clever of a liberal, hold on I have to dry my eyes. The TOPIX liberals and their shi##y movies. So did you see the day the earth stood still(2008)
What a POS that was! Humans must be made to pay for their polluting of this unique planet. Man made global warming (I mean climate change since GW has been disproven)is the main cause-what BS!!
None of the charm and wonderment in the 1951 original. Gort, however was pretty cool.

I'm sure that when you saw the original, in 1951, you were very impressed by the special effects, old man.

BTW, Obama said he's not only raising income tax levels for the uber-rich, but also for dou che bags. I guess you're definitely on the hook now, huh?

Hey Jack, you really need to stop sniffing that glue. It appears to be killing last few brain cells in your head.

At least, I can produce fake intellectualism. Your comments are so loony that they could never be mistaken for anything but genuine stupidity.

"Liberals ARE communists. That's what's so funny". Well stated, and the liberals will not be happy until wealth is even amongst all [more taxes, more handouts] and socialism is the rule....so many liberal were scared of "nazi" bush, yet bush never threatened our freedoms the way liberal want control...hmm fairness doctrine

While I disagreed with the existence of Gitmo and the Bush administration's PUBLIC policy of endorsing coercive interrogation, the constitution DOES NOT APPLY TO NON-CITIZENS. That is one of the very few things the Bush administration was flat out correct about. But yes, Gitmo was bad policy.
The Constitution DOES APPLY TO NON-CITIZENS, it does not apply to enemy combatants, there lies the difference.

So tell me what your stance was when Obama endorsed SAS wiretapping? Bad policy?

You do realize Obama could have issued an executive order dismissing the Patriot Act but instead chose the real important stuff like partial birth abortions and banning off-shore oil drilling, and stem cell funding.

So Sean Penn , Michael Moore and their ilk will be taxed twice? Now that hardly seems fair.

Conservatives and Sodomites all.
There is a difference with people and POLICY.
I never stated there wasn't gay republicans, only that conservative policy hardly fits that of Sodom.
Maybe you should read for context next time instead of jumping in at the end of the discussion?

My sentiments exactly. I will be giving up my subscription shortly. I have had it with these crazy conserves, and the farthest left the Tribune goes is Clarence Page-- a centrist who bends over backwards to be "fair and balanced".
