Good Night Dr Mercy.
Mercy be.

The government practice of imposed religion in medicine has a heavy burden of debt for the human suffering it has caused and desires to see again.
Government and church guilty of every needless human suffering together.
And denying justice together for their own victims.

Nurses at the hospital played recordings of classical music by composer Johann Sebastian Bach for Kevorkian before he died, Morganroth said.

So they tortured he before he died? Sick.

My thoughts also; did someone "help him out?"

It would indeed be ironic if in he was unable to get assistance when he needed it.

I had mixed feelings about what Dr Kevorkian did in assisting those with terminal illnesses off themselves but I do think he really cared about people. Kinda like the movie Soylent Green. Except the people did not get recycled back into the food chain.

He was a controversial figure and while many did not agree with his ideas or methods; he stood for individual autonomy and the right to choose. intervention.

In the movie "You Don't Know Jack", the following comment was made: "while you're unconscious, you don't have a say-so whether you live or die, the doctors and your family will make that decision for you HOWEVER, if you are conscious and have your mental faculties, you do NOT have the right to choose". Something is wrong with that notion.

Dr. Jack was a man ahead of his time. He FORCED the medical establishment to take a position in the right-to-die. Some states NOW offer a terminally ill patient the right to die with dignity and your physician CAN prescribe the cocktails which you need in order to go peacefully.

On the other hand, there are those who say "you should NOT have this option or choice". It is said that medicine will help keep people comfortable. Tell that to an ALS patient who is choking on his/her own saliva. Tell that to a Cancer patient who is suffering in agony. These situations are VERY real and happens ALL the time, contrary to what the do-gooders say.

RIP Dr. Jack. You did what you thought was right: compassion, death with dignity.

Euthanasia is contrarary to the "do no harm" credo. Oregon and Montana has enacted it. Dr Kevorian I think will be a minor martyr for dignified demise of the right to determine the end in the final political debacle he was persecuted for.

Obama's "Death Panels" essentially put Dr. Jack out of business.

He was a great American who understood that each of us should have control over our lives and be able to decide how we want to die. It is not up to others to force their religious beliefs on the person who is dying. If that person wants every effort made to keep himself alive as long as possible despite any pain and suffering he is experiencing, so be it. But if a person chooses to die with some dignity and sees no value to living 2 more months in extreme pain, well, that should be his or her decision.

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "I am from the government , and I am here to help" Dr Death did not have the "courage" of what he advocated when he was terminal!

Mark, are you that ignorant? There never were death panels. That was another of Sarah Palin's stupid comments which probably cost the American people billions! The panels were to be modelled after a very effective program in Minnesota that helped provide the best care at the best cost at life's end. Rather than put people in an expensive care situation like an acute care hospital they would see if there wasn't a better alternative like a nurse coming to the home or hospice care.

Turn off Fox News and do a little reading. Maybe you'll find that Obama is a heck of a lot smarter than the last guy that was in there.
