I like Gillan with Black Sabbath on the "Born Again" album the best but his Deep Purple albums were good also. He sang on "Perfect Strangers" didnt he? It definatly sounds like him. He also had some good Rainbow material also.

Ian Gillan's voice has been in decline since about the mid 80'S,he was as mentioned around 1973/74 awesome, and i would say the best rock singer in history when he was at his best,Gillan's style of vocal at its best was similar to little richard, total screaming but so good, and more
Gillan now sounds totally dreadful,he should allow Glenn Hughes to step in as the frontman of Deep Purple.

Gillan's vocals on 'Disturbing the Priest' which is on the Black Sabbath album 'Born Again' is the best thing I've ever heard from any vocalist ever. What a range!

Sabbath's Born Again with Gillan is probably one of their best, even Ozzy is stated as liking it.
Its been underrated for years because the original mix when in 83 on vinyl, was so bass heavy no thanks to Geezer Butler.
As far as Deep Purple goes as of 2009,would be great to see Glenn Hughes back after all these years and to replace Gillan, maybe like a mark III purple, with Coverdale, then Blackmore and Lord would just come back.
Glenn Hughes recent work is awesome he sounds great the guy is the voice of 70's rock,Gillan vocally sounds awful he has lost his voice.

I love the most Gillan's vocal with Black sabbath on 'Born again' album but he is also awesome in the Deep purple album.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Scorpio

Something about your personality or appearance is drawing a lot of attention today, Scorpio. People insist on watching when you'd rather that they minded their own business. Your stubborn streak at a time when flexibility would be easier. Be kind to those with long memories, especially if you think you might run into them again at some point in your life. If you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
