Interpol official worst lyricists

Interpol lyrics are officially the worst ever written. The Council for Lack of Lyrical Greatness convened earlier this week and named Interpol the band with the worst lyrics of all time.

Before you go trashing somebody else's genius, you dim witted fu<k, you should at least be bashing the right thing.
Anyway, I'm sure that Paul Banks doesn't give a f*ck what you think. Just remember: His accomplishments surpass yours ten-fold. Have fun living out your pathetic life, geek.

While I have not paid too much attention to the last two Inetrpol albums I can assure you the guy is not a bad lyricist. They have a great haunting Joy Division sound and the songs I have heard are pretty cool.

I'd have to agree actually haha. I think Interpol is an amazing band with crazy good chemistry, but their lyrics make me cringe. Especially on Bright Lights when everything else about the music is so good. Still a great band tho.

WTF???? That is complete BS!!!!! I am in awe of their lyrics. I guess some of you prefer ponds; their lyrics are ocean deep. I've never been the fan/ groupie type but damn Paul Banks could sing me straight to..........Oh yeah!!!!!

What about "Her stories are boring and stuff, she's always calling my bluff", from Obstacle 1. If that's not poor lyricism then I must be deaf and illitersyr. Also, Interpol is a good band, so for all those people getting defensive about lyrics, can't you just think of the positive side of Interpol? There's still their music itself, not the terrible lyrics of Paul Banks.
