Nas' message is timely and relevant. Recent hip hop indeed leaves a lot to be desired with glitzy empty rap the order of the day. What ever happened to the socially conscious lyrics of the likes of KRS ONE? And does anybody remember the seminal classic by 2pac "Brenda's Got A Baby"? Sad to see that its now about club bangers and skimpily clad ladies in swimwear.
