Eventhough this is OLD rap this is NEW crap to me. Personally I feel as a woman who grew-up in hip hop for 20 years of my life and watched postive to negative go either-way...this is just another OPINION from a man who DOES NOT KNOW BLACK MUSIC...BOO HOO!
Do I support rappers who discriminate blackwoman...NO! But to be honest, some of the women deserve it. Lack of jobs and lack of self-respect will make you do crazy things. These women don't have to do it. It's their choice. But what's the difference between heavy metal groups like Guns & Roses, exploiting women in their videos. Let's face it...SEX SELLS. Degrading women has been going on for centuries. When a white man does it, it's a profit. But when a blackman says and does it, it's called an abomination. BOO HOO! Just to get that off of my chest. Oprah's talkshow was once black-talk back in the mid 80's. Until ratings SUCK and network was going to pull-the-plug if she didn't generate popularity with the white media of America to watch. Understandable. I've seen all kinds of guests and enemies she has had. From the Klu-Klux Klan to Donahue. So, she should have certain rappers on her show. They will fit in. This is the NEW GENERATION. And let's face it, whether White America except it or NOT, hip hop is here to stay...BOO HOO! White and Asian kids are downloading the music everyday. Of course, people of ALL race don't like it. BOO HOO! And that's OK. If you've never had to live it...why like it...again BOO HOO!
I hope Oprah do invite certain rappers that will make a HARD IMPRESSION on her show. If she wants to ATTRACT the NEW GENERATION to watch...sooner or later...she will have to, regardless of what the NETWORK says.
Well, it's my opinion and I'm sticking-to-it. You gotta LOVE AMERICA!
