Dude, I live in Pennsylvania now, but I grew up in Atlanta. A-town. The Dirty South! I really don't hate rap, I guess I was just in a ranting mood. I guess it aggravates me, when my "Rapper " friends can just learn to rhyme and suddenly they're rappers. I have to sit there, work at least 3 instruments together, and do the vocals in order to get one song. They use computers. I don't knwo, I guess in a way i'm kind of jealous. But thank you for stating the Devil's Music fact. i was kinda worried there. R.I.P. Kurt Cobain. My Idol! But dammit, he's making more money dead than elvis! ha

And its ok to feel that way about the music thing, Im sure its frustrating, but you have to remember this, there is a Rock artist that does it all on his own, I think its, nine inch nails, Trent Resnor I believe? Is'nt that right? SO dont let it frustrate you, just call it going the extra mile to hear what you love!!

Hip Hop doesn't hate women but they are degrading them. Half of them females on those music vidoes be having no clothes on shake they booty and they tities all out. That's dirty straight up. Obviously they minds is on that money instead of themselves and they can't see that. Men these days just want to get some a*s and run.

Damn, this thread has to have the most horrific spelling and grammar I have ever seen.

The majority of hip hop and rap is extreme. It is horribly violent and degrading to just about everyone living. There is a small minority that have actually released some inspiring lyrics, but they are few and far between. Most of that is also not the number one hits for hip hop and rap, either.

As for the lyrical talent of rappers and hop hoppers, I must assume that you are joking. Rhyming words is really not that difficult.. especially when you don't have to follow any kind of grammatically correct format, like poetry. If you can't think of a rhyme yourself, there are plenty of rhyming dictionaries on the internet to help you. I'm sure anybody could write a rap. However, not everybody could have a hit because some of us wouldn't dream of glorifying poppin' a cap in a police officer, or getting on like jungle animals.

Don't be jealous of people who rely on computers and simple unformatted rhymes at the expense of degrading and offending police officers, women, poisoning the minds of youth with violent garbage and inciting violence against each other.

Maybe it is hard for you to come up with lyrics because you actually take the time to think about it. I commend you, also, for using real instruments. It takes real talent to play a musical instrument well.

You are a creator.. all they do is use musical "clipart."

I say give da bums some belts to hold their pants up then give all hair cuts and they will stop that rap crap. Too much time they spend on that rap stuff all those bums need jobs. I got work for any rap bum out there that wants it. I've seen plently of young punks in my day and those rappers are no different. All those bums need is a swift kick in the butt and some focus.

The old-school rap of the 70's/early 80's was the best. Today's rap, slow-jams & hip-hop, forget it! No originality. Everyone's sampling from already-established songs. Real instruments aren't used. There's no emotion, oomph or power. It's all droning & whining, everything sounds the same & it glorifies cheap trash ghetto life & crime. Most people who are into that stuff are completely illiterate & are on welfare, mooching off the rest of us. However, there is NOTHING in the media that degrades women. WOMEN degrade themselves. The ones who are in videos, acting & dressing like street scum deserve to be raped (Yeah, I know some politically-correct bleeding heart who's had no experience with the real world will bleat "Ohhhh, we ALL deserve LOVE & NO ONE deserves to be raped." Yeah right)

Folks who live in glass houses should not throw stones. The correct spelling to YOUR word "belive" is actually BELIEVE (you missed an "e" in there buddy). The correct spelling to YOUR word "gramer" is actually GRAMMAR (I see you sounded out the word, but still came no where near close to the correct spelling). Also, let's not get into the lack of two spaces after your period and forgetting to capitalize the letter "l" when you started a new sentence...*putting away my red pen*. But hey, not all of use advanced beyond first grade.
