About 11 years ago I spent a month in the Quintana Roo province, renting an apartment in Playa del Carmen. We rented a car and explored the Yucatan, ending up in Merida for several days. Here we found the most wonderful Mexican food, and a Lebanese colony that flavored Mexican food in an interesting way. At the end of one of our meals, we were given a complimentary drink of Xtabentun. I had never had this before and loved it. It was reminiscent of Sambucca but much more muted. We came home with a bottle or two. A great memory!

I'll remember this "great" news during the next media story about death(s) caused by some idiot who was drinking and driving.
