Star turn for Uptown

Thanks to 'Donuts' and a megawatt 'Steady Rain,' Montrose is about to intersect in a big way with Broadway -- the one in Manhattan Chris Jones Theater critic July 19, 2009 You could call it coincidence.

Re: the location of the Superior Donuts shop...I pictured it as the old Uptown Donuts that used to be in the Wilson El Stop building on Broadway. I recall a reference in the script to an address of something like 1100 W. Wilson, which would put it in that general vicinity.

Jake's restaurant on Montrose just off Broadway would be a likely role model as well, though it seems more successful than Arthur's donut shop seems to be in the play.
