Citing change in Honduras policy, GOP senator ends holds on nominees

An outspoken critic of the Obama administration's handling of the crisis in Honduras dropped his opposition to two State Department nominees late Thursday, saying the administration has reversed course.

That is great news. I am glad the pressure put on Obama's policy on Honduras has finally paid off.Now the U.S. official position is to recognize the outcome of the Honduran elections regardless of whether Zelaya is reinstated. Bye bye Mel...time to get out of the limelight!.

Well, well. Turns out that Obama was playing brinksmanship politics with the lives of the Honduran people and he blinked before Micheletti and the Honduran government did.
