One cannot prove a negative. I know this means that you believe in unicorns and magical elves and Leprechauns, but for most rational people, this isn't the case.
Thanks for admitting with your many deflections that there is not now, nor has there ever been, any proof of any god's existence.
Of course you can prove a negative. You claim the sky is green. I can prove through your blessed science that our eyes detect that it is blue. So if God is a negative, then through your science, PROVE IT!

What makes you think our laws are founded on the 10 commandments? In fact our consitution makes it clear that laws based on many of the 10 commandments would be specifically unconstitutional- i.e. free speech, free religious expression, freedom of association, etc.

Where is the law requiring I believe in your god-creature?
Where is the law banning me from making idols?
Where is the law banning me from swearing?
Where is the law banning me from doing any work on Sunday?
Where is the law requiring me to be respectful to my parents?
Where is the law banning me from lying about my neighbor?
Where is the law banning me coveting my neighbor's house or property?

It doesn't take a belief in your god-creature to understand that killing or stealing is wrong. I was taught right from wrong by my parents, just like the overwhelming majority of people. They never said it was because any god-creature says so; but rather because it harms other people.

You really need to consult your fairytale to be able to understand what is right or wrong? You really couldn't figure out killing another person is wrong without first consulting your fairytale?

REALLY??

That's what's so scary about you irrational religious freaks; you're incapable of independent rational thought.

The original laws were indeed based around the 10 commandments. Quit twisting the truth to support your need for godlessness.

Found your support from other godless threads, I see. Keep telling yourself that our laws aren't based on the 10 commandments. That fool Odumbo NEEDS clueless meatheads like you to further his campaign. Remember, you can't be a god if ONE already exists.

You didn't prove a negative; you just proved a positive statement- i.e. the sky is green- was incorrect.

Not suprising you even understand what proving a negative means.

"The sky is not green" is an example of a negative statement (the word "not" makes it a negative).

Now prove that statement is correct.

Which 10?

Definitely not the 1st, or the 2nd, or the 3rd, or the 4th, or the 5th, or the 9th, or the 10th.

Prove the laws against killing, stealing, and in some jurisdictions adultery were based on the 6th, 7th, & 8th commandments.

Where in the federalist papers does it mention that?

So again, where are the laws against believing in another god-creature?
Or making idols?
Or swearing?
Or being "unholy" on the sabbath?
Or disrespecting your parents?
Or lying?
Or coveting something?

C'mon, show me those laws.

Where in the federalist papers does it mention that?
Legal definitions of adultery vary. For example, New York defines an adulterer as a person who "engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he has a living spouse, or the other person has a living spouse." North Carolina defines adultery as occurring when any man and woman "lewdly and lasciviously associate, bed, and cohabit together." Minnesota law provides: "when a married woman has sexual intercourse with a man other than her husband, whether married or not, both are guilty of adultery." In the 2003 New Hampshire Supreme Court case Blanchflower v. Blanchflower, it was held that female same-sex sexual relations did not constitute sexual intercourse, based on a 1961 definition from Webster's Third New International Dictionary; and thereby an accused wife in a divorce case was found not guilty of adultery. In 2001, Virginia prosecuted an attorney, John R. Bushey, for adultery, a case that ended in a guilty plea and a $125 fine. Adultery is against the governing law of the U.S. military. That's just ONE of the 10 commandments. Now we know that killing is against the commandments set forth by God as well as stealing. Are you still going to stand by your claims that our laws are NOT based on the 10 commandments? PAAALEEESE!

"Answer:

It is not possible to provide any logical proof that God exists. That is a matter of faith only.
If logical proof is to be found for the existence of God, it must be found in the Bible. The Bible does report ancient Hebrew people actually seeing God. If those reports could be verified, they would be prima facie evidence of the existence of God. However, the reports were written centuries after the supposed events and could be considered to be coloured by legend and conviction. Objectively, reports at such a distance in time are no more reliable than a twenty-first century belief that only King Arthur of medieval times could pull the sword from a rock. Moreover, biblical accounts of the prophets' personal acquaintances with God are so contradictory as to defy logical explanation. It remains a matter of faith, and faith alone, that the biblical accounts are correct. "
