Police car petrol bombed opposite Naomi Long's office.

An unmarked police car has been attacked by a masked gang of 15 men in east Belfast, then burnt out opposite Alliance Party MP Naomi Long's office.

The windows were smashed and a petrol bomb thrown in while an officer was still inside. He was not injured.

He could just as easily have been killed.

If you think one has to immerge completely in a study of Irish history to have an opinion, you are more deluded than I thought.

People make their opinion according from informations they receive through the media, and their own gut feelings.

Everybody knows that the Irish were cheated after a referendum at the begining of last century, and depending on their sympathies, support the status quo or want justice done.
No amount of reading is going to change that.

The Irish nationalist cause has gained increased international support over decades, in spite of the actions of the terrorists, and sometimes because of it! In mainland Britain itself, many people have come to look as the partiction of Ireland as a self-inflicted wound, and successive governments had to deal with that unnecessary burden.

But when one looks at the antics of the loyalists, one feels they have absolutely nothing to do with mainland Brits, apart from using our flag to dishonour it! I must say that the loyalist PR machine isn't very good: maybe they should recruit Max Clifford! LOL

These were no teenagers. That's the heavy squad and they wanted to kill that cop.
Things have just taken a very sinister turn.

Derry rocket contained Semtex explosive

A court where three men have appeared in connection with the discovery of an armour-piercing rocket in Londonderry has heard that the device contained Semtex explosive.

i think a bunker has been opened up and this is not good news ..they didnt have semtex last year or they would have used it in their bombing attemps in londonderry and rest of northern ireland

Nobody needs a running commentary of life in Ulster to make an opinion about it , no more than no one needs a blow-by-blow account (with name dropping for good measure) of Irish history to have a grasp of the problems.
We f*cking know the problem, and we know the solution as well!

Your posts are just copy-and-paste, and are too boring to interest anyone. It's trash propaganda.
And if you spend all your time reading about Irish history, that only shows that you are obsessed by it.
