Romney is advocating financial, and military aid be sent to Syrian Sunni's militants as well as ground troops to Syria.. pff What more does one need as far as proof to know Romney is a war mongering pig..

Let me clarify for the unaware, or oblivious, USA aggression in Syria is an indirect attack on Iran and Russia whom side with the Syrian government and army which is made up of Christians and non Sunni Syrians Whom believe the militants are terrorists and are trying to suppress them. Quite obvious, it is none of our business. Clearly this is a religious conflict that Mitt Romney and his party are planning to take advantage of to ignite his true ambitions war with Iran.. Americans have to set their prejudice aside or else we are doomed..

On December 22, 2006, it was announced that Riverdeep PLC had completed its acquisition of Houghton Mifflin. The new joint enterprise would be called the Houghton Mifflin Riverdeep Group. Riverdeep paid 1.75 billion in cash and assumed $1.61 billion in debt from the private investment firms Thomas H. Lee Partners, Bain Capital Partners and The Blackstone Group.[3] Tony Lucki, a former non-executive director of Riverdeep, would remain in his position as Houghton Mifflin's chief executive officer. The company was formerly known as Houghton Mifflin Company but changed its name following the 2007 acquisition of Harcourt Publishing.[2] Prior to March 2010, it was a subsidiary of Education Media and Publishing Group Limited, an Irish-owned holding company registered in the Cayman Islands and formerly known as Riverdeep.

Chiquita Brands International, Inc. is the final name in a long list of companies whose ultimate origin was the United Fruit Company, formed in 1899 by the merging of the Boston Fruit Company and various fruit exporting concerns controlled by Minor C. Keith. In 1970 it became the United Brands Company when it was purchased by Eli Black. He outbid two other conglomerates, Zapata Corporation and Textron, for a controlling interest in the company.[4] In fact, that is a condensed version of what has actually happened to United Fruit Co., famed in the U.S. for Chiquita bananas, but known to generations of Latin Americans as "el Pulpo" (the Octopus). In 1990 the company became Chiquita Brands International.[citation needed]

On March 14, 2007, Chiquita Brands was fined $25 million as part of a settlement with the United States Justice Department for having ties to Colombian paramilitary groups. According to court documents, between 1997 and 2004, officers of a Chiquita subsidiary paid approximately $1.7 million to the right-wing United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC), in exchange for local, employee protection in Colombia's volatile banana harvesting zone. Similar payments were also made to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), as well as the National Liberation Army (ELN) from 1989 to 1997, both left-wing organizations.[9][10] All three of these groups are on the U.S. State Department's list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

According to a Wall Street Journal report in 2004[11], outside attorneys for Chiquita notified the company that the payments violated U.S. anti-terrorism laws and should not continue. However, payments to the groups continued until Chiquita sold its subsidiary, Banadex, in June 2004.

Romney does not speak for me nor millions of Americans.
Unfortunately both Obama and Romney have no clue about economics and fiscal policy.
Obama in fact double the troops in Afghanistan despite of his promise to get out years ego added 2 trillion dollars to national debt flipped about Armenian Genocide promise.
Romney is delusional. When Canadian dollar is trading higher then US dollar now then its obvious our country is on the verge of disintegration. To add salt to wound the idiot wants to add 100k troops to existing troop level.
Mr Romney should explain to American people how is he expect to pay for this and why do we need more troops!!
Obviously trying to look "tough" wins votes among population who are paranoid of homosexuals, abortion and hit you on the head with a bible.
Sadly this country is in sorry condition.

Great reply! So refreshing.

I agree totally.

What is even more sad is intelligent, and informative replies like yours unfortunately are very far and in between in this forum.

I think too many Armenians waste their presidential vote by considering "Armenian Genocide official recognition" as criteria.

Unfortunate in almost all cases they are duped.

Not that it is not important but honesty is a far better quality and more important in deciding whom to vote for.

As I would not vote for anyone whom flat out denied the Armenian Genocide as fact, for it tells much about the candidate, I could easily vote for the one who personally recognizes but makes no promises to push a bill for it through the house.

This is America not Armenia, and the president's first priority can not be a promise of official recognition to get the Armenian community's vote. That is just ludicrous.

Romney supporters obviously are ignoring the obvious facts like Romney is no doubt a Mormon extremist, and a war chaser in the middle east, not to mention his unhealthy (mentally) fixation with money that goes way beyond just disturbing.

When the objective person weighs such tell tale signs of doom and gloom qualities against a guy who has got us through the last four years doing a at best IMO a medi -oaka of a job, and has most times acted reasonably stable minded I think logically one should opt for playing it safe with him another 4 years opposed to risking it all on an obvious mental case..

No surprise though the collective Turkish opinion opts Romney -

I had a discussion at work about political choices presented and to me choices are not great.
Average American does not understand economics even most politicians don't either. The idea that one can pile up debt on treasury and dump it to next generation is horrendous.
I trade currency part time and sorry state of US dollar now is indication what could happen in the future.
Severe devaluation of US dollar. Its already happening.Your dollar buys less now then it did 5yrs ego and same time our earnings have not gone up.
We need a fiscal conservative president irregardless party affiliation.Unfortunately both parties prefer not to address the treasury issue which should be number 1 issue.
According to most sources I read Obama added 5 trillion dollars to treasury debt alone totaling now at 16triion.
That's a staggering number of spending in 4yrs and Romney looks like he may top that as well.
I am looking past Obama and Romney.Perhaps by 2016 we may get a president who understands economics.

Tell me, who has been the US President for the last 4 years.....Mr. Romney or Hussein Obama? So why are you putting words in Romney's mouth, when this entire bloodshed in Syria started right under Obama's watch?
You need to wuse up and stop twisting the truth.

Hahahaha........4 more years of that Marxist in our White House, and the US economy will never again recover. This is the same man who added nearly 6 trillion dollars on top of our National debt in first 2 years of his Presidency!
You must be one of many Armenians who voted for Hussein Obama just because he promissed to recognize the Armenian genocide. This man is a total disaster for the future of America.

Hmmmm.....sounds so familier!
You people said the same rubbish about Ronald Reagan, calling him a warmonger President, and a danger to the entire world. Do you remember that? Because I do. Where is the Soviet Union now?! Have you ever heard of "Peace through strength"? Perhaps not!

Listen well, your beloved Hussein Obama added nearly 6 trillion dollars on top of our national debt. This is a pure fact, and you are welcome to go and check it out yourself.
I know the truth hurts, but we have a Marxist in our White House who's duty is to destroy this country's economy.....and guess what? He is doing a great job in doing so. If you have any children or grand children, and care for their future, you wouldn't vote for that man!
