he has previously tried to compare the price of coca cola here to shipping it through a war zone from Kuwait to Baghdad...

he's not really interested in the truth, just in how he can justify his failure in life... it would seem it's our fault he failed.

again, how come so many people that came from no money are able to make wealth themselves?
your 'examples' are just more conspriacy theories and jealousy of people who have made companies invaluable to the world. you seem to be using bill Gates' products without being forced to. hypocrit much/
to again sum up your entire personality...
Whaaaa, fuccking, whaaaa. grow up and make something of yourself ya little whiney pansy...
I knew you could not come up with even one example of someone who did not start out wealthy, becoming wealthy. Of all my friends, relatives, neighbors, people I work with, not one makes as much as they made in 2000. And that does not account for inflation.

Using Bill Gates products without being forced?? He has a monopoly. There is almost no choice. You want to use a computer, give Bill money, and lots of it. I do use Linux when I can. The only way you would assume I use Bill's products would be if you know there is no choice. You know you are lying and you are being disingenuous.

As to your insults, I suppose that is all you have. When you can't participate in the discussion, you resort to slinging mud, just like all the other whacked out right wingers. 2140

They were given $25,000,000 to build a school in downtown Baghdad. When they claimed they were almost done, they claimed someone bombed it, so they needed $25,000,000 more to complete the job. When they claimed they were almost done again, another bombing along with another request for more money.

I could have done better from my living room. I could have turned in requests for more and more money, never getting anything accomplished.

Now it's your turn. Name something they did, that I could not have done from my living room, or that would not have been done better and at a lower cost having been done by the troops themselves.

guess I didn't read that far into your last post.

everyone of my college friends came from poor families and are very successful by any metric you choose. the the guy and the girl that came from the poorest family have gone the farthest, in fact.

It's obvious you're from Minniesota, you're brain is still in hibernation. So.. what you're claiming is that they destroyed their own work.. You are stupid as a loon. No company had the logical capabilities Haliburton was able to use. But you keep trying there, you may come up with something.
Anyway explain to us what you know about the bidding process?

It was a no bid contract. bush simply gave that money to Cheney through Haliburton. There was little pretense that it was anything other than a robbery. So why don't I steal a bunch of money and use your metric and call myself successful. Sorry, I can't abandon morality like you obviously suggest for everyone.

Bull. That story is so far fetched it must have come straight from Fox News itself.

Another more broad based example. My company won an NSF grant for $50,000 to bring its inventions to market. Working hard and smart. There were requirements on the receipt of the money. One was to attend training in Washington DC. Three from my company attended, including ak of $50,000.

There were over 200 companies represented at the training; with great technology, all examined for feasibility. One topic kept coming up in every class. Where do we get the money to bring the products to market? Thanks for the $50,000 but that really isn't enough. The question came up so often, the trainers added a session to answer the question. The top answer was to have wealthy friends and family to give you the money. If you don't have wealthy friends and family, you are out of luck.

Now, don't tell me that magically kids right out of college mysteriously go from poverty to wealth.

Luck is where hard work meets opportunity. You can work hard, smart, all your life, but unless you meet opportunity, you can't get your products to market.

Another example. I worked with an engineer at a major corporation. He made an invention and that invention became a widespread product. It was copied by other companies and our corporation sued, and received several billion dollars in back royalties. The inventor got no bonus. He received no salary increase. He was pushed into retirement, with a very modest pension. Billions of dollars stolen.

No, the people who do the work, don't receive compensation for their efforts. Almost nobody.

No, that is not what I claimed. I claim that the work never needed to be done in the first place. That work, if they did anything at all, would necessarily result in no benefit to anyone other than Haliburton. Building a school when you know it will be blown up, is a waste. They could have given me half the money and it would have cost less and they would have gotten just as much.

So what? Gee Whiz you are slow, as I axed you, Barefootin' It? Tell us who could have supplied the equipment Haliburton supplied? Dead silence? Nice going you don't know? No biggy Barefootin' It, you're a repeater, anything that goes in your ears, comes out your mouth. They made $40 Billion. Is that after tax profit? or is that the money they took in? I'll let you look it up? I don't really care...
