We NEVER learn.

We armed the Afghan rebels against the Soviets, and they now use those same arms against us.

We armed the Iraqis against Iran, and they used those same arms against us.

Etc, etc, etc, etc.

We NEVER learn.

The administration admitted over the summer that the CIA is in Turkey overseeing arms sent through Turkey to the rebels. Does nto imply the arms are American supplied but it was reported Kuwait and Qatar are openly supplying them. Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qada in Libya are also sending weapons as well as fighters to Syria, according to the Libyan government statements 2 months ago.

The FSA are more devout and rigid.Assad knows what he's doing. If the FSA wins it will almost certainly weaken Syria, which could be seen as a positive thing.
