1."True Grit"
2."The Quiet Man"
3."El Dorado" (for humor)
4."The Green Berets" (for being politically incorrect and following his heart when all were against the movie).
5." 3 Godfathers"
6."She Wore a Yellow Ribbon"

Or, reverse them all, or close your eyes and point!

El Dorado
Rio Bravo
and Rio Lobo were basically the same film. The names were changed to protect the innocent...but I loved them all anyway.

Close. The Duke did not die in The man who shot Liberty Valance as the movie started out after he was dead through old age or the Fighting Sea Bees.
1-Sands of Iwo Jima. 2-The Alamo. 3-The cowboys.4-
The Wake of the Red Witch.5-The shootist.
Do you agree?. Great to hear from you on our Duke.

He did so die in the Fighting Sea Bees. I just watched it again to make sure. He was driving the bulldozer, got shot in the chest and got blown up when the bulldozer plowed into the oil tank.

I have never seen the Wake of the Red Witch. But understand it's a good flick.

Thanks for mentioning the Wake of the Red Witch. It has been years since I have seen it, but I remember it as a good movie. I wish the "box" stores would sell those type of movies at a good price instead of mostly the Dukes early "B" westerns, although I do enjoy some of those too.

Don't know about the Wal Mart near you, but ours has about 15 different J.W. movies at about $5.00 less than Borders bookstore. Some are 100th anniversry series. Their prices range from $7.50 - $13.50, with a few containing 2 movies on a dvd.
