$40,000 a show? How much of that did the artists receive?

Dizzy Gillespie, Kronos Quartet, Buffy St. Marie, Ahmad Jamal, Gil Scott Heron, Shawn Colvin, Richie Havens, Brecker Brothers, Lucy Kaplansky, Liz Story, William Ackerman... to name a few. Thanks for the great memories.

It was sadder seeing the Bayshore Roller rink being demolished just recently...
Memories now lie in an empty lot. |

Wow, haven't been down that way in a while. It's gone, heh? Shame. |

The IMAC is a treasure in midst of Huntington. While these are tough times and many of the "wealthy" have lost $$ over the past few years, I cannot believe that someone in the Huntington area cannot come in to help the IMAC. Huntington is the most culturally relevant place on LI. This would be a terrible loss.

1 Now with the imac gone a lot more will leave . all that will remain of the village is bars and the library. |

Wow, is there anything left of the Huntington music scene?
There's that second floor bar on the corner, but what else? |

1 Cowards and haters like you and your friend von Brunn are a disgrace to this country. May you spend your life in a cave with your other friend bin Laden |

This is sad. Saw David Bromberg there years ago, as well as David Grisman. IMAC was always a gem back then. I have good memories of those performances. Sad to see it go. It was a beautiful place a little rough on the edges with character.
