Skank Amy Winehouse will NEVER see one cent of my money spent on her songs. And anyone stupid enough to do it, well, the old saying a fool and his money will soon part.

Typical Hollywood ... giving a heroin addict honor and praise; and one that can't even get back into the US due to her stupid behavior. Have to agree with Bubbles ... Winehouse IS a skank and Hollywood just eats her up. Next thing you know, Hollywood will elect Snoop Dogg as mayor since they sure like their thugs as well as their addicts. In fact, I'd help VOTE Snoop into office just for the pleasure of watching Hollywood implode!

Correction - his biggest CROSSOVER hit was Rock It. He is an incredibly talented artist and has had many hit albums/songs year after year. Just because you may not like jazz doesn't make him less of an artist. He deserved that Grammy and him getting it has restored my faith in what the Grammy's stand for. The Grammy Awards are not who sells the most albums or has the most airplay. They are awards to musicians that are voted for by other musicians.

I sure can't argue with anything posted here about Amy Winehouse, but she does have talent. Too bad her talent is intelligence.

But do you buy music from Akon? Why does everyone want to bag on Amy when Akon has to brag about being a convict in every single song he sings. Where is the indignation for that? Then you have Kanye thinking he deserved more time than anyone else. Who made him king over all the other artists there?

Goes to show you that talent still pays. You don't have to curse, sing about women's anatomy or how tough you are. I am so glad he won.

No, don't give one cent to Akon either. I hate rap and hip-hop as well.

The Grammy Awards are where artists honor artists. It is not about who is most popular but more about who is most talented. Herbie Hancock may not be a big name in most households but if you ask many of the musicians - especially keyboardists - who inspired them, influences them and who they studied when learning to play, Herbie Hancock will often be on that list.
