'Mockingbird' author, black leader win US medals

PRESIDENT George W. Bush awarded the highest United States civilian honour to two figures in the push for racial equality: former NAACP leader Benjamin Hooks and To Kill a Mockingbird author Harper Lee. via The Straits Times

Harper Lee wrote only one book and that has kept her in big bux$ and medals the rest of her life.
