I like the article and I understand that Dr. Cummings was making a point that he never tells anyone to call him Doctor only. In the movie you really can not see him say just call me doctor. He was blocked out by what appears to be a sound man. I have seen his web site and he speaks well and his wive Nancyah is a great songtress. Look at the moive Religulous its not even in the top 15 now. It BOMBED!!!

First off, I don't hate this movie. It made me think. Simple as that. Everyone should watch it. They should show it in churches and talk about it. Not the kind of church talk where everyone rants about evil either. Real. Christian. Thinking.

I would also like to point out that it is full of ignorance. You all think I refer to Bill Maher. Maybe, but I am also looking at the nutcases he interviews throughout this movie. They put a bad face on religion. This is the part where I begin thinking that Bill Maher is an idiot. He goes around finding these people, asks them questions that they can't respond to. He knows that they can't respond in any other way than he wants them to. Therefore, his argument looks spotless right? I take back my statement about him being an idiot. He knew what he was doing.

I'm not saying the tough questions shouldn't be asked. They should. We need to deal with the rough ones. Maher needs to ask the people who know a thing or two and put them in his movie. I don't think he would be so quick with his witty, insulting comments. Or maybe he would. I don't think he cares in the slightest of what people think of him. Perhaps he doesn't feel awkward in normally uncomfortable situations... In any case, he is very disrespectful to a multitude of people.

I think he just goes around acting like he has a clue in front of a bunch of crazies so that people who have less of a clue will think he is super smart like Einstein or something, and as a result, become atheists/agnostic (same thing) like he is. That way he can ride his high horse in front of a bunch of fellow elitist knowitalls.

Speaking of knowitalls, many people in this movie offer information as fact, saying there is evidence to prove it. It seems to me that it is a bit hypocritical to flash text and short clips across my television screen as counter proof that the evidence that the religious offer is false. Im not saying either side has concrete evidence (in the context of this movie), but if Maher is trying to discredit someone, he shouldn't use the tactics of his adversary. That would make you both look kind of cheap. And when you mix that with Bill Maher's looks, you have something of a clown. or not, that would be rude.

Hi, that part may have been edited, but how can anyone feel comfortable with the wealth the 'Dr.' flaunts? Do we have to refer him to the life and teachings of his humble savior? More over, I see bile for Bill Maher, but no argument about his facts being wrong.

The fact that all faith requires you to not question anything, that it requires blindness and not vision is most frightening because this is not discussed at all. Admit this, and maybe the counterarguments will come out easier.

That was wealth. You must be poor s hell if that was wealth. Maher dressed like a janitor and made Cummings look rich. Jesus was not poor and poor in spirit does not mean poor in pocket

Yes he has a Doctorate but he never said it in the movie dummy. They said he did not have any degree at all. His web site says Dr. Cummings because he was awarded one for His books Honorary Doctorate. Still makes him a Doctor, Dummy.
