Guru Lyrics

"Imma raw ghetoo ahntrpranooa... afta the payola the loot, the paypah, till mah husslin' daze ah ovah!"

Nothing but ghetto trash, sampling the heck out of old hits because he couldn't come up with it himself. Greatnews that he died. Hope he was in massive pain before he choked on his last breath. He died a like a good little leach.

National homocide stats read the same in Brea as they do in Huntington Beach, my ignorant friend. Rap "music" is cheerleader music for black gangmembers. Anybody who cheerleads people into committing felonies is evil.
I'm so happy this piece of subhuman garbage is dead.
And... his music wasn't even creative. It was just samples of successful songs and pot-ridden ramblings of an uneducated minstrel naygruh. This generations version of Steppin' Fetchit. Long may he stay dead.

Ever heard of the rapper named Paris : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_%28rapper%...

The man has a bachelors degree in economics for UC Davis. He was a stockbroker for some time...and honestly probably more intelligent and educated than you or I.

You need to open your eyes and ears and stop being so judgmental and close minded. Because what your two posts reveal to me is that you have no real idea of what you are talking about.

<quoted text>Whoa there, ignorant...Where in that comment did you see anything pertaining to race? Rap is crap in its own right. Full of hate, whining, disrespect for women and a poor excuse for anything musical. Get your head out of your **** and stop jumping to conclusions, you narrow minded fool.
Me narrow minded??? Ok, you are putting an entire genre of music under a very stereotypical light and I bet you haven't really listened any of it. Yes, a lot of the mainstream hip-hop and rap (which there is a difference) focuses on very materialistic and sexist topics but there's a whole under-culture of talented lyricists who don't fall under the sexist and violent category.

Take KRS-ONE for example. He lost his friend and musician Scott La Rock to a shooting death and started the Stop the Violence Movement. This group of hip hop all stars from the east coast help raise awareness of black on black violence and continues to this day. What about Public Enemy with their socially conscious lyrics?

I mean seriously, you can go back to Grandmaster Flash and his song about growing up and living in the ghetto "The Message"...these words didn't glamorize violence but it told the story of what it's like living day to day in the projects. You can even take hip-hop and rap back to Gil Scott Heron who released the prophetic song "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"...

and you want to demonize an entire genre of art (yes, ART!) because of what you see on MTV? Rap and Hip-Hop is poetry...much like Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues"...much like the beatnik generation. Just because you are ill-informed on the facts doesn't give you a right to put down the art.

So go ahead and put that clueless light bulb next to this comment because I doubt anyone here is going to admit that they haven't actually listened to any hip-hop music...go on and talk about how Guru was a horrible person...you are the narrow minded ones who have your heads in the sand.

I was giving a link to a basic bio of Guru...which obviously you don't care about because your mind is already made up (just look at your name).

We all have opinions so let it be. Too bad some cats won't even let a dead man rest--the type of cats who perceive themselves as threats by claiming their sets on the net. I do have to agree with Ignorance's posts. Get your history right before you try to state opinions as fact. And by the way, go ahead and talk shit on me all you want...it'll my name in your mouth.

So did Guru write the deathbed letter where he sends a big FU to DJ Premier, or did Solar write it. Wad Guru in a coma for the past two months, or did he wake up long enough to write the letter?

Crazy stuff.
