Hey Scott Weiland,
I think I liked you better when you were on the crack pipe,if you and your lads didn't want to do this gig then you should have left it to the millions of other bands who looked up to Van Halen
for close to 30 years who would have gave their left nut to be in your position.
Nothing like a BIG EGO to ruin a good day!!!

I fealt exactly the same. I mean-couldnt they at least do a kickin version? What was that runaround thing...what the hell was that? For f cks sake...it really could have been almost anyone else. He looked like a tard also. Just my opinion. i wanted to see someone HONOR VHs induction...not make fun of it.

Finally, something "Dave era" and "Sammy era" fans can totally agree on - that ordeal blew more chunks than a tourist in Cabo!
Totally sad for me - I didn't even recognize that as "runaround" until I read it here - and that's one of my favorite VH songs!

I know-they just sang round and round and round and round-over and over? I would have fealt sooo dissed. But I am sure sammy and michael were just in heaven...so I guess that counts a little. Seems the promoters could let these guys practice maybe with their own bands and just put on an all out show-would have been nice for us. The other performers had polished shows that showcased their music...but van halen-well who put that together anyway. I am sure that Mike and Sammys performance was last minute..but still...

I've only heard clips from the induction, but did anyone thank Dave? I may have missed it if they did. Anyway I'm a dedicated VH fan since W&C and I've got to say this is the saddest ending to the best rock band ever. I'm sure they'll get together eventually but the Hall of Fame induction was THE time the boys should've been there. This is one of the worst endings besides the last Seinfeld episode which totally sucked. I don't know if there's any venue for VH to comeback from yet another failed reunion. I hope they do because they were a huge part of my life and I'd hate for this to be their encore.

Mike - Both Michael and Sammy thanked Dave during their speeches. Both were visibly emotional - both overwhelmed & obviously sad about the way it turned out. Both were extremely classy I thought - Mike even thanked Gary Cherrone for his part (even though he wasn't included by the HOF). Both recalled their late manager (Ed Leffler).

In their post induction time in the press room, both made overtures about being willing to tour again - Sammy said that at some point "when we all grow up - myself included in that" that they should tour with all 5. But if that never happens, he encouraged them to tour with Dave because that's the last thing they owed the fans.

Again - the two that were there were just classy and humble (if you can imagine that from Sam!). I think there are repeat broadcasts coming up on VH1 networks and this was several hours into it.

The rest of VH showed no class

At least Sammy and Michael bothered to show up to thank not only other members and those who have contributed but also FOR THEIR FANS. Too bad the whole band couldnt have shown some class and had a happy reunion like REM did with the return Mike Berry. Hell even the dead guy from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five bothered to show up.....

Very disappointed. We they annouced their induction I was definitely had my hopes up way too high. Someone quoted Sammy in another post, I'm thinking this is when they grow up. Wrong. Okay, Eddie did/does need to dry out. Is that the turning point? Maybe I'm hoping for too much again.

When Welvet Wevolver took stage and slammed into "Ain't Talking Bout Love" I thought they sounded pretty great until the junkie opened his mouth. That wasn't a tribute. That was an insult and I can't believe the rest of the band didn't say anything to the crackhead. Again, I must say my hopes were pretty high for this show. During the broadcast they kept showing memorable performances from past inductions and I was hoping for something great and unexpected. The hall wouldn't let Dave perform? Why? How cool would that have been, Dave with Slash performing the same song. Now that would have ranked up there with the Doors and Vedder.

The best part of that performance was the dude who yelled at the end "Hey, that wasn't Van Halen"

Fa-king Paul Schaffer? Are you kidding me? I embraced the Sammy and Mike show until the brass instruments came out. Then I was lost.

Pull it together guys, we need you.

LOL I thought I heard someone yell out that aint van halen during the velvet vagina show=but I thought maybe it was me SCREAMING inside my own head. LOL-is there audio of that somewhere? Great moment for the fans anyway. I did see a thing where sammy said that dave was supposed to perform with his own band...velvet mangina backed out to let dlr do his deal...then dlr backed out and they had to step back in at the last minute. Maybe Sammy was just covering for that SHITTY performance...and vagrant vaginas singler looks like gary cherones dance instructor. LOL

Velvet Vagina now that's funny as hell!!! They suck also..
Eddie shaved his head in rehab and played a Britney Spears song. Rumor has it Eddie and Al are saying screw it to any future Van Valen reunions and will be pairing up with Britney spears for this summer. Check out the Offical Van Halen web site.... Alex has been sending in drum tracks via the internet to Eddie in rehab. In turn Eddie has been laying down guitar and bass tracks along with Britneys vocal tracks during his stay. Eddie's been quoted as saying, " I really love having Britney in the band now. She's the missing link we've been looking for all these years. I really love the way she can sing around my guitar licks and I can play my guitar around her vocals." Another quote from Eddie that will have all male Van Halen fans pumped for the new and improved Van Halen this year is, "During this summer tour, we will be filming a live video with Britney on the road in the green Paris Hilton format. It should be quite exciting..." And Eddie ended the interview with a laugh and said, " they'll been no live video shooting until Wolfie goes to bed.."
Stay tuned for more updates!!!

I so agree with you Scott. That Mick-Jagger-Move-Alike singer of Velvet Dissolver was a joke. What a creep. And he couldn't sing to save his life! I mean Van Halen don't really deserve a tribute with the way they're messing up everything but this was a disgrace. It was good to see Mike and Sammy on stage even if Sammy was a little bit out of tune himself. But I was really so hoping to see Ed, Al and Dave together again. You know, Van Halen!! It might never happen and if I hold my breath much longer I'll burst. Somebody get me a doctor!!!

Hmmm... to state it more clearly: Van Halen sucks big time. Must be the Dutch dirt in their veins. I can't stand their music. By the way, can somebody please tell me who Grandmaster Flash is? Even YouTube does not make that clear.

I agree ZAREC, I was so looking forward to the VH induction and they did not have enough class to even show up. I realize Eddie is having a rough time,(so what else is new) but what about Alex and Diamond Dave? Sammy and Michael are the only Van Halen members with ANY class.Van Halen may very well be finished.
