The "IRS" even goes after the good guys.
Even though you thought you were doing right and they said you were wrong, you are wrong. It is to bad because the county could have used that money.

What good guys, Ron?

Someone should go to jail for this. I nominate the County Treasurer, by whatever title he is called.

(In a semi-related criminal matter, Massachusetts will be jailing politicians, bureaucrats, and other policy makers for violations of their Open Meetings statutes.)

This is probably just the tip of the iceberg. This was no "oversight." This was mis-management, plain and simple.

Sorry Rick, Scott, and the rest....time to go. Do you not even care that this place is drying up and there are no jobs or real commerce?

Time to CLEAN HOUSE.

Well, Well guess the county got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Shouldn't an independant firm have checked the mistake and whoever was responsible made toanswer the the person that was likely responsible. Its been time toclean house fro a lng time.HAs anyone ever looked at the people that Scott Vinson has working for him. What is their job discription and the money they get paid is it justified I think not. They are the good old boy system and they look out for their selfs not the countys best interest. What are they doing to inprove the county and to keep the youth here. Most young kids will tell you that all there is here is drugs, sex and booze.
I have heard this from the preppie kids not just the skaters, or so called bad kids. That 97 thounsand could of gone to good use instead of the IRS if the job was done right.

Hoping that Scott and his team had good Intention AND did try to follow the Fed guide line...
With my experiance with accounting.. I don't think any one,CPA and or County could complete a 100% tax return satifactory to IRS CONFUSING GUIDE LINE.
Hang In there Deming.

Ron. I agree with you 100% I don't think there is a 100% bullet proof tax return. But when I was In Deming. I would have been more happy to see that the City and the County focused little more and got Involved putting soom effects to educate the children and also the adults which would make the future of Deming special, verses other small City's. Instead I do know they are spending unneccary money and time on projects that I know is not going to help?????

I thought we paid Scott Vinson over 100 thousand dollars a year not including a take home car and cell phone... to prevent this kind of absurb waste of our heard earned dollars!

About "getting rid" of the current crop of county office-holders and staff, wont happen.

The obdurate electorate that blew the city hall crowd back into power will do the same for the county hall crowd.

Well... voter turnout is only in the 20-40 percent range. That leave's 60-80 % who dont vote.

They dont vote because?

1. they are happy with the BS
2. they are tired of all the BS
3. they are scared of all the BS these peopel do

And how do we, or you, or I change that issue if the problem is #2 or #3?

Navvy... Keep plugging away... just keep plugging away... just keep pluggin away.... One vote here... one vote there... here a vote... there a vote... everywhere a vote vote...

What else we gonna do?

The 20 percent DO NOT represent the other 80 percent.

Early voting is on right now. Get OUT the vote. GO Vote... Tell others TO VOTE.... do it now and if they dont want to vote...swift kick them in the arse and tell them to do it anyways.

"Fringe Benefits"! Sorry Mr. Public Works Director and Risk Manager...but you are over paid and top heavy with unreasonable fringe benefits.

Luna County should use this as one of the main chief reasons they reasonably attempted to re-negotiate and then terminated your contracts!!!
